My weekly e-newsletter from the Maine Track Club mentioned that Tri-Maine was registering for their races and I noticed a new race listed. "The Scarborough Triathlon".  So I went to the website to get some details.  They are calling it "The Marsh Madness" it seems, and it is a sprint distance race.

Unfortunately, they are scheduling this thing the week before LP (July 13) so that may play into my plans a bit.  Also, the schedule has the Urban Epic this year for the 26th, only six days after LP!! In '07 it was scheduled the same w/e as Timberman!  I'm starting to think that Will doesn't want me to participate in this race, or maybe he wants me to make it an "A" race.

I have also heard some whisperings about another new race up in Rangeley either in '08 or '09.  Anybody else heard anything about this?

Pumpkinman should be great - I'll be doing it as long as I'm not injured after LP.

There is also a new one in June that Tri-Maine is doing in Belgrade, sort of a modified olympic distance with a shorter swim and run.

no notes on the trails group site, so not sure what's up.

I am considering the Rangely Romp since I will be up there anyways for the MTB race on Monday.  Anyone else considering this race - it looks like a killer in terms of hills, hills and more hills.
