GPA is a factor--players have to be academically elligible. Also, there's an academic all-american team.

Anyway, the Heisman isn't a who's best in the classroom award.

And, math is harder in your opinion. People's brains work differently, as it turns out. For me, English was lots harder than math.

The trophy vote is opinion, and nothing else.

Obviously, but how else would you pick an MVP? Have them arm wrestle?

I would have GPA be the deciding factor, quite frankly, adjusted for major, of course. A 3.5 in English is NOT the same as a 3.5 in Math, for example. Math is a lot, lot harder to do well in.

As I said, its minor league football - most of them are college students because they have to go to class - not because they really WANT to go to class. I find it interesting that usually the best students on a team tend to be the offensive linemen.

Exactly.  I had hard enough time in English class remembering what adjective, adverbs, and pronouns were.  Don’t expect me to remember those now.

(however, Tebow did not attend Nease as he was homeschooled). "

I wonder if his being homeschooled and his nauseating over praising of the Lord was a coincidence?

51 TDs in the SEC is other-worldly.

Also, there's an academic all-american team...

...of which he is the first-team QB.

As for next year, we only lose a senior or two. I predicted 3-4 losses this year given the youth and inexperience of the team, so I wasn't at all disappointed by the regular-season record. The next two years are gonna be scary-good, though. Good thing uga and L$U got in their licks this year, 'cause it ain't gonna happen again soon.

We also have TWO Heisman contenders next year - Tebow and Harvin.

Best of all, Meyer says all of the seniors will graduate on time.

Enjoy it while it lasts, Gator fans. It won't last forever, and it doesn't get much better than this.
