Can I really do a marathon?

Breakthrough swim! My fastest lap was 2:11 and my average was finally below 2:30! My 2nd and 3rd lap were my usual 2:40, but after that I was never greater than 2:30 as I got my legs in gear finally. I actual felt like I was swimming in the top layers of the water for once. It even felt faster. I focused on actually kicking rather than pretending to kick, keeping elbows up, and not rotating the flat hand. Maybe someday I can break the 2 minute barrier. My next goal is to average 2:20. That would be awesome as well.

South on the trail. David took kids in double jogger as well. It was a very pleasant evening at 74 degrees. Was able to keep a steady heartrate at 172. Will I ever be able to run around 162?? Peaked at 179 only to beat the traffic across a busy street.

Max speed 27.1 Went East out Ridgeview with Teri. Did one interval with her and returned alone. Route has bigger hills than expected with more downhill as you worked East. That plus the wind was strong from the West made the return harder than the way out. I didn't get comfortable in the aero bars until halfway home. I don't seem comfortable in them next to Teri. I also did some practice weaving the bike in the lane markers. I was able to turn once for every 4 dots. I hope to double that. HRM did not read correctly again. :-(

Did the Spring Creek hill twice. Was not my best ride. Winds were ferocious at 20mph from the NNW. Felt it almost blow me over. Also had many gear problems again and the chain jumped off again. :-( HR max unknown as the watch read 226. Temp was 42 degrees. Wore lightweight LS jersery, jacket, and heavy tights. Felt fine. MX speed was 31.2
Another run with good heartrate! And even faster! This one as part of a brick--after 65 minute ride! Winds were still strong at 20mph. The legs felt better starting out than the last brick I did. Went around the softball fields.
