Missed the run before the bear hunt day, so we moved the long run to Friday so we could run on the Anchorage Coastal Trail. It is a long, mostly flat trail that is heavily wooded many times. It even had mile markers every 1/2 mile, so we could measure pace and distance along the way. Tomorrow, we would be in Seward, and we would have missed the opportunity to run on this trail. We were also moose hunting on this trail as we heard they were prevalent here. We did succeed in finding one female moose hiding in the tall grass, but no bull moose. There was also one very steep hill to get over. It was even marked with a steep hill sign! Otherwise it felt completely flat.

Ran 6 miles on the bike bath in Valdez. The battery died mid-way through my run, but I was almost to the turn-around point, so the distance should be quite accurate. Cadence, etc were lost, however. The run was steady, though, so it should be consistent. Still no bear this morning either.

Ran 4 miles on the bike path in Valdez. We were hoping to see a bear near the salmon run, but the Salmon weren't there yet. HRM was almost useless for the first half.

Attempted to run in Houston, but it was HOT! Didn't have distance measure, so we went with known paths. My HRM also was completely useless. Probably a good thing as it was surely high in that heat. I ran with a steady 3 breaths in and 3 out to regulate my pace.
