Can I really do a marathon?

Ran around the golf course in Houston with David. It was challening to keep my HR in the zone. We got yelled at a couple of times while we were running, so that didn't help either! That made me anxious and run a little faster. My recorded pace showed I practically crawled around this run, but it didn't feel that painfully slow.

Met Teri at the White Rock Creek trailhead and rode down the trail and around the lake with her. It was a hot 100*, but we enjoyed the ride. I went through a lot of water though! Need to remember to try the insulated water bottles next time. We also wish we had cash for the popcicle stand on the way back!

13.4 avg sure felt faster than that! It is hard to go fast on that trail, though.

Ran with Katie and Liz. We ran the Chishom to the Bluebonnet to the Prestron trail and dropped Liz off near Katie's house. Katie and I continued on for another 3 miles. Liz once again started running quickly, and I had trouble keeping my HR in the zone. I dragged behind for a while and then finally decided to go ahead and run. Katie and I did better on my HR after Liz left, but not great. 19:52 in the race zone, or 23% of the run. :-( Never hit 180 though, and that has always been a good goal as well.

1st run in Alaska. Ran from the Millinium Hotel, on the path and roads that surround the lake with the sea planes. It was nice to run quickly again and have my HR stay in the right zone! <1:00 above, and those could be erratic readings as the HRM was reading a little off.

Biked our first day in Alaska up to the Danali National Park. Beautiful vistas including Mt. McKinley, and it was wonderful to ride with David. We were on the shoulder of a highway, but traffic was light by Texas standards. I didn't wear a HR monitor for any of these rides as they were casual.
