Fantastic day, today, in spite of having almost totally lost my voice - thanks, allergies!

I spent the morning with Nanc and Tanner, roadtripping to find bike routes, wearing an animal finger puppets on my hand and singing old McDonald (hmmm, might have been when I lost my voice), and then dancing with the little guy to "cotton eye joe".

Then, Bob & Rita came over to yak, see my soon-to-be new house, and window shop at The Tile Shop.

Topping off the evening was a hot bath, and quality time with The Chels.

Tomorrow I join Dawn to do the "Running with the Pigs" 5k, and then, since the weather is to be good, we are going to hit the roads on our bikes!

Worked on keeping my RPM in the low 70s.

Thank goodness that we did not get nailed with the snow, as forecast! I have a 5k on Sunday, and also want to do some outdoor biking... I want dry roads/trails for this!

I have felt like such a slug - the wintry weather, allergies, travel, etc. have certainly added to this.  And, lack of consistent exercise fits into the mix, as well.  SO, over lunch today, I hauled my booty over to the gym to get in some "running" time.  I feel much better now... much less of a slug.  I am now savoring my juice concoction... mmm 

 

Thursday - April 10

I am going to try a new approach to my allergies, etc. and I have an appointment with a Chinese doctor who is licensed in acupuncture and also chinese herbs.  Next Thursday afternoon... it should be very interesting.  The wife of one of my co-workers has been seeing him for a while, and is experiencing relief for the first time from some pretty intense problems.  For now, I am supposed to juice (and drink) the following mixturre on a daily basis: carrots, celery, apple, spinach, pineapple, broccoli, potato.  It actually tastes pretty darn good.
