Friday - April 18

Today I head to CA... I wouldn't mind delaying the trip until Sunday, but it is what it is. It WILL be fun to see everyone. I'm just not ready to travel, again, oh well.

I slept incredibly well last night - don't know if it was the acupuncture, or something else. And, no "night sweats"... who knew? Dr. Chin indicated that this is NOT because of wearing too much to bed, but most likely the beginnings of menopause - lovely. At least if that becomes a problem, he can give me some nice herbs or "nice" needles to assist.

I had my first dose of herbs this morning... four Chinese herbs that the Dr. blended up with his mortar and pestle.  The best way to describe the herbs is that the combination tastes like burned electrical wires smell.  Not horrendous, but very, very different.  Let's hope that they help to "dry me up", and energize my Qi and Yang. 

Thursday - April 17

OUCH!!!

Having the acupuncture needles inserted, was a breeze... having the licensed Doctor "stimulate" the nerves by twisting the needle was incredibly uncomfortable... I must have HUGE QI issues... confirmed by pulse, tongue, etc.  I apparently have issues with the way that Qi moves in my body, which is reflected in my kidneys, liver, and spleen... which then manifests itself in the aches, pains, allergies, etc.

So... I have herbs to "dry me out", and I will be seeing him again when I get back in town next week Friday... as I am off to CA from Friday-Friday.

Fantastic day, today, in spite of having almost totally lost my voice - thanks, allergies!

I spent the morning with Nanc and Tanner, roadtripping to find bike routes, wearing an animal finger puppets on my hand and singing old McDonald (hmmm, might have been when I lost my voice), and then dancing with the little guy to "cotton eye joe".

Then, Bob & Rita came over to yak, see my soon-to-be new house, and window shop at The Tile Shop.

Topping off the evening was a hot bath, and quality time with The Chels.

Tomorrow I join Dawn to do the "Running with the Pigs" 5k, and then, since the weather is to be good, we are going to hit the roads on our bikes!
