7PM Easy swim after work. The pool started to get kind of congested right as I was finishing up.
Ran once I got home. Kept it easy, but picked it up on the final 1/3. I can't believe how cold it got!

8PM The Pinehurst Int'l (PI) course is TOUGH. Very, very tough. Lots and lots of hills.
Rode from home to the PI race start, then reset Garmin. I wanted to see how close this course was to the advertised 30 miles. I decided I was going to push it, just a little, to see how I felt afterwards. Tried to keep my HR between 145 and 150 bpm the entire course. WOW. I felt in control for the entire ride.
Two roads on this route were absolutely horrible: Foxfire Rd and Darby Rd. Wow. Rough, rough asphalt...the kind that jars you nonstop. I did not care for that part of the ride one bit.
Rode back home, then went for a run on the 3/4 of the PI run course. I could tell I drank too much liquid on the ride, as it sloshed around for the first few miles. Kept the run at marathon pace. At mile 3, I really felt my marathon training come through. My quads were starting to cramp a bit throughout the run, but I could tell it was not serious.

10PM Added the Ft. Bragg 10 miler to my race sched. That will be a tough race, but I'm planning on racing it HARD. It looks very competitive.
7PM Solid ride today. Rode part of the Pinehurst Int'l course. Man, that course is hilly. Planning on a big training day tomorrow, but have a very, very busy day. We'll see how that works out.
Bombarded by bugs on this ride. They must have been thrown around by the strong winds. One smacked me right above the left eye. I kept expecting to get stung and have it swell shut, but it never happened.
At the end of the ride, tried a flying dismount...Um, let's just say I need to work on that...alot.
1PM In training this week. Hope to get out early enough to get home and ride outside! This course is not giving us enough time for a lunch w/o, so will have to adjust fire.
Sucks that I'm taking two certifications this week. That might dig into training time a little.

10PM Decided to pass on the w/o tonight.
Since the family will be out of town for the next few days, I'm planning on putting in a few hours of training this week. Booyah!
9PM Drove back from GA today. Just got back. Debating on weather to ride trainer, or not.

8AM Back in Georgia for the weekend. Spent the night with some family friends.
Woke up this morning and went for a run in crisp, clear conditions. It was kind of nice.
Then, went out and ran with the wife for a little over 3 miles. Nice weather to run. :)

11PM Ran from the pool to the Airborne track. I had planned on making this an easy run, but the legs felt good, so I started to pick it up. I kind of miss marathon training.
Jumped in the pool 5 mins after the run and swam 20 mins. I think I am finally getting this swimming thing down.
My son's birthday party is tomorrow, so that is the priority. Any workout will be a good workout.
