7PM So, I was pretty happy about my race until I analyzed the data today. Afterwards, felt kind of bummed that my swim was so bad. What use is a good bike and run if you can't swim for shit? Maybe I'm expecting too much out of my 8/9 hours a week of training.

I talked to a buddy about it and he's going to help me with my swim through B2BH. The crap swim is not due to a lack of endurance. I have it. It's technique. I know it is. Hope to identify a few problems over the next few weeks and correct them so I can have a good race...both Pinehurst and B2BH.

Wasn't feeling all that chipper today, so cut the w/o short after 45.

9PM Didn't workout today. Kept the week easy.

Planning on picking it up tomorrow. Happy overall with my race this past weekend, but I know I need to work on the swim.

One month until Pinehurst and 6 weeks until B2BH. I have some work to do.

10AM Finished race report.

8PM What a race! What a HOT race! The temps started off OK, but towards the last 5 miles of the bike, the sun came out in FULL force. ALOT of ppl fell out during the hot, baking run on the asphalt.

I bet the swim was long, the bike was right on, and the run was pretty close. I didn't push the swim all that much, hammered the bike, and just hung on during the run.

Fun time. Will detail the race in a report later.

Easy run. Ready for White Lake!

9PM Wife asked me to run 7 miles with her tomorrow! I told her I'd ride 7, but not running!

I'm feeling really good going into this race this weekend. I don't know, but the last few rides I've had have really given me some confidence in my cycling abilities. I have come a LOOOONG way since I first started racing. I even feel much stronger now than at the beginning of the year.

One thing about White Lake...there is definitely some speed that is going to show up. I've raced against some of the ppl and they blew by me like I was standing still.
