Cold, windy, and wet day at the SCT. Almost decided to drive back to Augusta and just get on the trainer...then I though of 4 hours on that dreadful thing. I'd rather be cold and miserable.

Legs felt smashed from the run effort of the past 3 days. On top of that, I forgot to pump my front tire (I blame the trainer!), so I was riding on a soft tire at about 60-70 PSI! I didn't realize it until I hit the hills out past Rockmart.

Nutrition was great. Alternated between gels and perpetuem tabs every 15 mins, taking in aprox 300 cals per hour. Perfect. Could have drank more, but really didn't sweat much.

I forgot to clear yesterdays workout, so it's added to this ride. I'll see about deleting the first 13 miles so I can analyze the data a bit.

Feeling some slight fatigue from yesterday's workout. Awesome.

Going to hop on the tready for a medium distance run, then going out to meet a buddy for dinner tonight. Haven't seen him since Iraq, in mid 2011!

Didn't feel like running, but once I started, felt great.

Noticing how I've fallen off on they cycling a bit...bah. Still good volume, and still quality workouts, but need to increase. For March and April, would like to see mid 30 hours of cycling...

Good pool session today. Another 500 at race pace and it felt much easier than yesterday's. Going to start adding 250m a week to that effort to build up before Tx.

Nasty weather. Rain and cold. Indoors we go for a little run.

Found out that our schedule for the next few weeks is going to be terrible. 2PM - 12AM. Yuck. The good thing is that I should be able to ride outside more. We'll see how that works out. Right now, I'm not digging it.

Interesting...I uploaded both the power meter data and virtual power data to Strava and they both display similar data. While cycling, however, power meter was constantly showing 20-30 more watts (3 second power avg) than the TrainerRoad virtual power.

I threw the tri bike on the trainer just to see what the difference would be. I have to say, I'm a little surprised. I really thought they'd be MUCH different.

Hope to ride outside today. Will be the first outside ride all year! If I get too busy, then trainer tonight.

Good swim today. Did a 500m effort (most likely race pace) and came in a little slower than I thought I would. That oly pool is going to take a little getting used to. I think I'm going to do a 500m test every time I get in the pool.

When I get back to NC in mid March, going to rejoin the masters swim team and have them kick my butt for the two months before Texas.

Got out of work later than intended, so got on trainer and knocked out a Sufferfest. Really pushed it b/c I was going to run afterwards. Two mins after the start of my run, got a call that I had to take. Workout done.

Got in the olympic pool at Ft. Gordon and had a rude awakening. While I'm here, I'm going to be getting in the pool a lot more.

PT this morning, so threw in an extra run for the week. Kept it very easy to make sure that tonight's workout doesn't suffer. Plan is to knock out 4 hours on trainer.

Possibility I may be going back home since someone at the unit dropped the ball and I didn't get orders. I'll know more tomorrow.

-Update-
Kind of got a late start, so just knocked out 3 hours instead of 4. The workout I created using the TrainerRoad Workout Creator was way tougher than I thought it be when I was putting it together. Those 2 min 100% FTP efforts at the end of the 40 min intervals...ouch.

Pretty good week overall. Plan to build on it this coming week.
