Really tough swim this morning. I could tell that I lifted last night. I just didn't have the strength that I'm used to. Not that I have strength to spare anyway. I'm sure it didn't help that the girl in the lane next to me swam like a shark either. It almost completely crushed my ego to be lapped every 2 or 3 laps. But then I reminded myself that I'm a crappy swimmer anyway, so who cares if I get lapped :)
On another note, I don't know what's going on w/ my weight. For the past couple months, I've been hovering anywhere from 156 to 159. I weighed myself this morning and I'm down to 153. Seems like a pretty big swing to me. I'll start logging my weight and weighing myself before each workout at the gym. It probably won't be the same time everyday, but it's something I'm gonna keep an eye on for a while.
85 minute bike ride for tonite. Maybe longer if I have time and motivation.
I was running short on time when I left the house, so I knew I would'nt get a full ride in before dark, but I did get to ride out to Cherry Creek Res and back home. Lots of cyclists were out today so, I got to pass quite a few folks. Last downhill into my neighborhood is a pretty good one and I always try to ride fast enough so cars don't need to pass me. Well I had some lady in a Jeep Liberty pacing me. I think the kids in the car got a kick out of it. The speed limit is only 25 but we were doing about 38 and gaining speed when I looked down. Wooo hooooooo!!!

Distance is a guess, but it's probably pretty darn close. Ran to the gym and back which is a 2.2 mile round trip. Then ran my 3.8 mile loop plus an extra detour for fun.

Upper body workout planned for lunch. 42 minute run planned for this evening when I get home.

Rode to CC Reservoir and met Mafor an LT test which I was fairly pleased with. It was UBER-windy. The way there was pretty rough. I took it pretty easy so I'd have plenty in the tank for the LT test. On the way home, I was able to work a little harder but didn't need to. At one point, I was doing 32 mph and my HR was at 129. Nice to have the wind at my back!!!
Ran on the tread mill after swimming. Felt incredibly easy. It was nice just to listen to some music. At some point, I just stopped paying attention. Next thing I knew, 42 minutes had gone by.

Good day today. I wasn't quite the "model triathlete" this week, but I was close.
Monday starts a new week, so my "model triathlete" goal will still be in place, but it will be a bit more challenging since the time required for my workouts will increase from last week. I'll have to be diligent about planning my workouts and meals.
April 1
Rode a few miles at the Tri-Bike clinic at Campus Cycles and then Rachelle and I rode to the library later on in the day.
Definitely zone 1 the whole time.

Spin class. Good workout. Really focused on maintaining my cadence.
Distance is an estimate, I'll have to sit down and figure things out. I swam at a 20 yd pool before spin class and then headed back to Aurora and swam at a 25 yd pool to finish my workout

Quote of the Day:
"Doctors and scientists said that breaking the four-minute mile was impossible, that one would die in the attempt. Thus, when I got up from the track after collapsing at the finish line, I figured I was dead."
-Roger Bannister (After becoming the first person to break the four-minute mile, 1952)
