Went to the gym to do an easy swim/run while Rachelle did an aerobics class. I got changed and rifled through my bag only to realize that I forgot goggles. I cursed my early onset of alzheimers and headed out to the gym for my run. On the way, I told Rachelle my dilemma and she suggested I do the aerobics class w/ her, so I did. Turned out to be a good warm up the day before the BolderBoulder

wu: 4x100 drills
ms: 9x100 (25 EBEH)
cd: 2 x 75 (last 50 were kick drills)
Fun swim this morning. My 100 yard repeats were 25 easy, 25 build, 25 easy and then 25 hard. The last few were getting tough, but I really needed to work on my speed and it was really fun to swim hard. I'm not a fast guy so I kind of pretended that I was when I did my 25 build and 25 hard sections.

Had a 60 minute run planned for this evening, but before I even got to the end of the block, my IT band was screaming at me. I kept going thinking that it would get better and it did if I picked my knees up, but I wasn't going to do a 60 minute High-Knee drill. About a 1/2 mile in, I turned around and headed back home. I'm supposed to have a 30 minute run tomorrow, but it looks like I'll be doing that on the elliptical.
I'm wondering if this could be a shoe issue. I bought my current pair this past October, so they're probably nearing replacement but my IT band has been a minor nuisance on the bike lately too. Looks like I should just make more of an effort to stretch it and roll on the foam thingy that everyone seems to love so much.
