Countdown to the Half

The following equipment is nearing replacement:

June 10

I had to travel to Illinois to teach a class today and had to leave at 9am.  I stopped by T3 Multisport in Indy on the way and picked up some new cages to try for the sonic wing.  I had thought about getting out in the early morning and run but I changed my mind thinking that I was trying to squeeze in too much before I left.

I was almost home last night and got called back in for a robbery. I left the office at 4am and woke up at 9 to take Tressie to swim practice. because of the late or early morning I didn't get the run in that was scheduled. I plan on making that up Wednesday morning before I leave for a meeting. I did get the swim in during nap time. All I can say is Wow! It's been since last August since I have done anything in the water besides play with the family. It went better than I expected and I felt pretty good at the end. The 150 swim did take a little effort to finish but I feel pretty good about the overall pace.

I had the help of my father's day present for today's ride. I asked for and got a Garmin 305. I love it. It was great to see the route and other data imported right in. Now for the ride itself. Got off to a good start today. I only had to stop once for a water bottle escape. I still need to order the other cages. The greenway was quiet and empty this morning. It started to sprinkle at about the 45 minute mark but it was light and didn't bother me. I forgot to start the time on the Garmin so it missed the first 3-4 minutes of the workout.
