August 1
Rest day.
Up early with my daughter as she figured 630 would be a good time to awake today. Unfortunatly I work until 11:00 and get to bed around 00:01 in the morning. Crappy rest day sleep.
If people would check out CBASS's log from yesterday, you will notice that she put out the challenge, well CBASS, I can not wait to take you up on that!
Just kidding, can't wait to see you in Victoria! I think My wife and son will be there but Madison will be staying at her Aunt's. Too much work. Also, might not get there until Friday night. Soo, will have to figure out when I am going to get my wetsuit! Or, I could just go get that one from Running room for 279.
July 31
Brick day.
Nice hard bike followed by a nice moderate run.
Hot day out.
I decided to try the front aero wheel today. Not sure if that made me faster or that I just gave it a better try this time. I was faster by alot this time. But I tried to put it race pace so. That could be the reason.
The run was slow at first as I did my first lap in 8:04 then 7:33 twice so the last 2 were consistant. I wanted to push it the last 2 for a reason. The reason is that during my race, I could not pick it up. So I figured if I could pick it up now, I could pick it up then. Race simulation.
Well thats all
Oh yeah, I just finished my first 6 days in a row. Yippee.

Went to the outdoor pool.
Going to see if this other pool will accept my pass.
If not might have to hit the lake.
Working again today so have to make it snappy!

July 29
Well, had to go out and push it.
Got up and went for a run.
The first 2k were slow for me. I felt that I could not get my speed up
First 1.75 was 8.02
2nd 1.75 was 7.26
3rd 1.75 was 7.15.
and it is 500 each way so 1k round trip.
I guess last sunday I could not pick it up. as I averaged about 8.15 per lap. Must have been the small hills in the trail slowing me down. Will have to start doing hills once again.
Will try and get the swim in today during swimming lessons for my daughter.
That damn pool was closed!
Now what!
Just got off the phone with my pool.
Its closed until further notice. It apparenly blue a water main and now it is closed. What am I supposed to do now?
I guess I will be doing more ow swims!

23:30 at the halfway point
So 19:27 on the way home.
Talk about your negative split!
Went for a bike ride.
Started out like crap. Felt slow could not get my speed up was not working at all. Not to mention the wind was in my face for the first 5 k and then for abou 3 k at the halfway mark. Went out in the big wheel but had to go down to the small gear for the majority of my ride out. Kicked it on the way back. Felt pretty good in there. Might need new biking shorts. Not much cushioning I feel. Tommorow is a run and a swim.
Almost want my taper week back ;)

Tired very, tired.
Just got back from my swim.
Did get some flip turns in but not quite beautiful. Oh well. It was good to get some drills in and start getting better at swimming.
I was going to go for a 25 Min run but figured the 1:10 of hockey would suffice. Its not like I am just standing there. I am sweatin my stuff off out there. Not sure what tommorow will bring but I am sure that its going to be a bike ride of some sort.
Well, off to bed and get a good night rest as it is my days off tommorow and the next.

July 26
Easy spin.
Well according to my book, I had to do a 1000 Meter swim followed by a 45 min easy spin. Thats what I did. Never pushed the big wheel until the end when the wind was with me. I felt suprisingly good today! Unlike yesterday when I just felt blah.
Well, it was a beautiful day and the pool was nice. The ride was awesome only saw 2 cars on the back roads. Not as twisty as the race and not as bumpy.
Tomorrow hockey and maybe a run.
