Nice run to end the week.
Feeling a bit slugish.
Today is a nice day to get the sleep in needed as it is overcast and not stinking hot. This may be my last workout until the race. Not sure if I should go for a swim tommorow or not. I would like to just rest but may be talked into going for a swim.
Will let you know how it plays out. Now off to do some research on my bike parts, thanks to the bear.

Went out for a long ride today.
Just a quick tune up for the race on saturday.
It was freaking windy out there.
I was having a hard time pushing the wind on the way out. Avg was like 23 or 24 and on the way back I would say 34. I got up to 51.5 on the flats today with the wind at my back and held it for a few hundred meters then waited for my training partner to catch up. We took a wrong turn and had to walk up the gravel road and onto the highway and then back out another way until we hit barrowtown. It was a good ride but my knee was acting up. I am Icing it before I go to bed.

Probably not though as the first night of graveyards is killer!
August 7
A good paced run
Good swim at cultas.
Went for a good swim in cultas today. Went with a friend that paddles his surf board there to keep his shoulders in shape when he goes....surfing. I told him to watch out for the 6foot rollers! But the wet suit kept me very warm and I had trouble spotting the bouys. It was a good experiance as when the boats go by, they put up some waves and you have to get used to that. Might go for a base run tonight.

Well got out for my run @ 20:00.
It was a good paced run. Kept the same pace the whole way which is what I am trying to aim for. I have to work graveyards the week before my race.
Damn Shiftwork!

First half was windy. I was pushing wind the whole way. Adjusted the bar height and all went way better. 28.02
Second half coming in with the wind 36.88 avg.
24:10 at the half
18:24 at home.
Huge negative split.
Today was a bit of a hard run. First lap needed to kind of get the legs going so started slow and finished hard.
Brick day.
Team Redundancy Team is doing a Brick today. What's your team doing?
Just got back. HOT HOT HEAT. Not the band. I tell you it was a scorcher. I felt like total crap on the run. side stitch and everything. But I persisted and just kept running and it all worked its way out.
The wetsuit is fine. You actually float. I wish I would have had this for the last race, its amazing.
It kind of feels weird when the water is in it but thats ok. I can not wait for race day.

I must have ate 30 flys on the run, some would say good protien intake!
Time inflated cause of instruction
Just got back from the big city.
Damn its hard to find parking there.
When I found some it cost me 5.50.
Nutso. Well put my application in for the Navy. It kind of is just a feeler to see what they will offer me. If the offer is better than what I do now, well then its go time.
Will try and get out for a swim in my new wetsuit.
Got out to the lake. Went with the tri club pres. It was good did some draft tecniques and the like. Found a good place to swim in cultas. It is certainly different with the wetsuit.
My knee is starting to act up again. Damn knee. More of a tendon above the knee. Will have to go to the doc after the race. for now just some ice. The area to swim is 2 k down hill then 2 k back so got 4 k in tonight.
