Nice run.
Went for a good run.
It was a beautiful morning! Sun was out and was it warm. The wind was even warm. We pushed it a bit at the end of the run. THe start of the run was like hell for me. My head felt like it was on a balloon and I needed more water than I could take in. CRAZY. We stopped at the Blue Heron Reserve park and got some from the taps. So I went through 2 bottles of water and 2 gel paks as I needed to keep fueled from yesterdays events. Well thats a good weekend if you ask me! Well off to enjoy the rest of this great day!

Long ride.
Went for my long ride today since it was sooo nice.
I rode to the meeting place 12k away. (not a good Idea in hindsite)
Then hooked up with 3 other tri club members. 2 went 1.5 hours and 2 Jay and I went up to the end of Chilliwack Lake rd where the gravel starts. Just past the entrance of post creek trail. Little did I know that this thing gains elevation the whole way up. Down hills we were going like 18k and we could not figure this out. So needless to say at the 1/2 way mark, we were getting tired.
So we had a bite and headed out again down the hill hitting a wopping 65k plus going down the first hill, I was still going 60k when I went up the hill on the other side, nice. We were averaging 50k easy for the way down until we hit the salmon hatchery got up to 73 on a 13 grade according to my comp. It is a beautiful ride with lots of scenery and everything. Ride by the river most of the time. I sure was not used to climbing the whole way for 40k then coming down in about an hour. I blew my legs out around 75k and could not keep it in the big ring anylonger and pushed it and caught up to the back wheel of Jay so I could bring it home. Well, after that, I still had 12 k to get home and that was an average of 24-27k the whole way. I did thank Jay for helping me out though.
Now I rest.
TOmmorow a 23k run.
Later Skaters.
