A good ride out to Yarrow and back.
A nice run to the tracks and back.
Well got up today feeling a bit better about life :)
Then, I decided that I should go get my last brick in before the 1/2, so I said OLY BRICK! and Headed out the door. I packed some bars and ate every 15 mins on the bike, wow that helped coming back for sure. I was tired from lack of sleep on the way out but on the way back, woo hoo. I started feeling energized. Eating while on the bike, what a concept. Now I just need one of them bento boxes.
Got home and changed into my running clothes, I know they have a change tent in the Transition for oliver so probably will do that. Hopefully Javelin wont get too mad.
The run was pretty good, started off slow and headed out 22:10 at the turnaround so I pushed it back. Kept thinking to myself and counting out my cadence. I also thought about the last week and how I was down and out over my injuries. I need to start acting/thinking like a Triathlete, quit letting people influence my training and just do it!

I swam fast so it probably is right.
Open Water
Open water swim...Now, I think I need a neoprene hat since my head froze. The water in Cutlus is Freezing. I swam 10 mins in freezing water head up and spotting with the wet suit. My body was fine, I was steaming when I got out of the wet suit so that is no big deal. Just when I thought everything was going to be fine I got light headed walking on the beach. Must be from the cold water. Then I think I may need a new tri suit as this javelin one might be beyond repair.

Looks like the week is shot for the weather. Might try and get a ride in with the rain this week, even though I hate it.
On the plus note my tendon is starting to feel better :)
AND I am feeling FRISKY!!

Well, I should not blame the rollers. It was all me.
Anyway, hand is not broke, just a bit sore and bruised whereit made contact with the corner of the door way.
Oh well. Live and learn. This is probably helping me heal up.
Went to a meeting tonight @ 1900 Got home @ 1600 left @ 1745. So no working out for me.
Also, I have been reading my book. I have realized that I have been training haphazardly and not training toward a goal This race was a mistake for me as I do not believe I was ready for a 1/2 IM Distance Race. I will be doing this race. I also will be establishing a plan for the rest of the year and trying to salvage whats left of it. Next year I will have a goal orientated work out.
I also will be trying to participate in more smaller events and trying to actually improve my times instead of my fitness(the latter will come with the first:) )
