ON the rollers
Is it just me or does that feel harder than the road.
No major issues, JenG was right.

Here is some good news for me. Cept I have been here for 4 years and they are dropping me back to level 1 pay. So from 39 to 49g a year. Then I go to 52k in July. Not a bad pay raise and then they give me back pay of around 8k. Going to spend around 2300 on a Cervelo Dual I think. Federal correctional officers will enjoy average pay increases of 30 per cent over the next four years if they approve a tentative agreement reached May 24 by their union and the Treasury Board of Canada. The agreement covers the years 2002 2010. Four years after their previous collective agreement expired, the Union of Canadian Correctional Officers (UCCO-SACC-CSN) has won substantial improvements in salaries and working conditions for its 6,000 members. With retroactive pay raises, salaries will see an immediate boost of more than 20 per cent after the agreement is signed, should members vote to endorse it, on June 26. Some do much better. The salary for a new recruit, for example, will immediately pass from its current level of $34,277 to $49,571, for an increase of 44 per cent. The salary for a correctional officer in the highest increment, meanwhile, will reach $70,477 (from a current $53,137) in 2009. As well, the number of salary increments is reduced to five for all correctional officers. “Federal correctional officers are finally beginning to see the recognition that their dangerous and demanding profession deserves,” said UCCO-SACC-CSN National President Sylvain Martel. “For years correctional officers have been a neglected branch of the Canadian justice system. This union has proven that determination and solidarity can bring improvements not only for its members but for also for the security of the Canadian public.”

Frisbee. Yeah, thats right. Frisbee. The new cross training exercise that should be on all training programs.

Feeling like I did a 1/2 Ironman 2 days ago. Holy talk about delayed onset fatigue. I might head to the pool for a bit of hot tub action. Took the kids to the pool. Got in 200m of good swimming. Felt like I wanted to do more! Lots of running around and going up stairs to the Waterslide. Good fun had by all and I even got to go into the hot tub for 30 seconds. :) Went out and watched the worlds fastest Indian. Great movie. Nice to get out and do real stuff. Yeah baby!
