We made it - it took us over an hour to do it but we made it - the rains all day and all night yesterday made some of the obstacles not the safest. Ground was either covered in deep hoof prints from cows or they had plowed it so it was uneven. We walked a majority of it to save our legs - we saw one girl who I think they called EMTs for that they were hoping didn't break her ankle and a girl toward the end that had a major limp. We didn't need that and wasn't in a hurry - my neighbor Jean who did it with me hasn't run in years so it was nice to get her out. She has been stressed with work so it was nice to see her smile again and she enjoyed it. I am officially a DIRRRRTTYY GIRL!

Getting ready to head North for the race here in about 30 min. We have had rain all night so I am not sure what to expect today except MUD! Dirty 30 here we come!

It is 8:19 and still waiting for the last work call to come in.  It is official - I registered for the half in November - took the other one out of the schedule in Oct so I have plenty of time to get up to 13. My friend Jen's sister Mary is the one doing it with me - it will be her first and she has a goal pace of 11:00/mile. The one I did 2 years ago I did around 11:30 so I think I can handle a 11:00. :) YAY for a training partner and a co-runner in the half mary :)

Also will register for the color run - Jen and Mary are going to do it with me - now just to come up with a name. The one we like the best so far is We Dream in Color :)

packet pickup, work and a nice walk hopefully.

Hubby got up at 345 to go fishing with two of the neighbor guys which is fine. Lucy was up until he left about 430 and that is her usual time to get up so I hoped she would go back to bed. She was back asleep in bed I think before Hubby left the neighbors. Sleeping good, heard Brian's watch sound at 6am which was fine, she moved but kept sleeping. I was headed back to sleepy land and Bo jumps up on the bed and wakes his sister up (he is on quite the routine to eat at 6am). Poooooo!

Bike and strength. Strength is a maybe - I can feel tuesdays and I don't feel like going into the race on Saturday being stiff and sore for the obstacles. :)

A friend's sister is doing the half in November and is looking for someone to run it with her. If she doesn't run as fast as her hubby (he just did a marathon in 3:42 with little training) I am willing to do it with her. She will be moving down here from Witchita soon so it would be nice to hopefully have someone to train with this time. Last time I did it all on my own. It would be the same one I did 2 years ago but they have changed the course and I seem to like this one from the looks of it better (no long out and back at miles 10-13) :)

SHITTY run - felt out of breathe and working hard before I got to the 1/10th of a mile mark. Couldn't relax, legs felt like bricks. Took 1 more walk break then I did on Monday. This doesn't bode well for Sat. Not sure what I am doing wrong but it feels trying to get to 3 miles again is tough let alone moving up from there. :(

Got a 2.5 mile run this am to do. Need to get it done this am.

Thinking about this 5K in July - looks like fun. Wonder if I can get any takers to do it with me :)

Shoulder press - not machine but couldn't find another one.
Standing calf raises - single leg
Squats - with weight

Kept weights light to focus on form and get in the habit of it. Can tell I haven't done it in a LONG time. Hoping to make it a habit. Pushups were wall - need to try to do real pushups - last time I tried I couldn't yet from surgery.

Bike was good - learning to workout when Lucy naps so I get it in. Will do strength when I can fit it in today. Added some ab/core work to that as well.

bike and strength. Found a 14 day jump start strength workout that can be extended to 5-6 weeks from a book called "The Body Sculpting Bible for Women" - it is at least something.

Run was ok - at the 1.75 mile mark the hip just wanted to stop working - it was like dead weight so I took two walk breaks during that last 3/4 mile to try to loosen it up. Time is included in run time above. Have to start counting it - I can't stop the clock on the half.

Too many clothes - 3/4 length yoga pants, long sleeve shirt and short sleeve shirt - it felt cool but it wasn't THAT cool.

66*, 88% humidity and Winds NNW @ 15 mph. The wind was actually nice since it cooled me off when it came.

Went to bed about 10 - lucy slept until 12:30 which I figured since she crashed early about 8 and went back to sleep after we did pottys before bed instead of playing like usual.  2:40 hubby started snoring bad and Bo hit the chair in the LR and woke Lucy up so outside and then back awake at 445. She was just falling asleep when hubby's alarm went off at 545. Hoping to catch a quick nap now that hubby is gone, out to run 2.5 (it is nice and cool this am) and then off to the grocery store before work.

Todays meals - quinoa stuffed portobello mushrooms and a nice sirlion steak. :)

Took a short walk - nothing major. Hoping to run again tomorrow. Hubby told me we need to start counting calories again tomorrow. Today we tried 5 guys burgers which weren't bad. It isn't something I will be craving tomorrow which is a good thing :)

Made the grocery list, took a 2 hour nap with Lucy and watched some dvr shows with hubby. Hip still being a pain.
