8:15pm - Did another .68 mile lap with Bo and Lucy. Bo in harness and on leash, leash in collar - no leash just to see how she did. She did GREAT! She ran along side her brother the entire way. Stopped 1/2 way for the neighbors to love her. Bo did great at Sit and Stay (Hunting commands) while the neighbor put their male dog away (the boys aren't friendly with each other - think it is not being around each other much and being male). Bo is 78 lbs and pulled me down as I was closing the front door as we left. Left arm is swollen and already bruised about 2 inches from the wrist, right arm is bruised about 1/2 way betwen the elbow and wrist and a cut below my thumb from when I had the leash wrapped and he pulled when an unfamiliar dog came down the road. We apparently need to still work on the stay part when unfamiliar dogs come by. Otherwise Lucy seemed to come when called - got a ton of attention and did GREAT for her first time (she also forgot she had a collar on which she needs to have when we are traveling next week). :) Thought it would wear the two of them out - nope - fighting/playing in the Living Room as I speak.
Wanted to do 2.5 but the body from the waist down is UPSET with me... Called it just over half way. Did another lap walking but called it a day. Haven't ran in a week besides the race and I am carrying more weight around then I would like. AF is due any day so I am hoping that is part of it but I am at the highest I have EVER been in my life. Need to change that ASAP.
Got a run on the agenda sometime. Wish I had more energy to do it this morning when it was gorgeous and cool out. Feel like I am going to regret not doing it then.
Debating on taking friday off to go fishing with hubby (none of the boys can go) - but I will be tired when we get home (early morning 2 hour drive to get there) and we have a big weekend of Memorial Day BBQ at our place on Saturday, and then Monday we head to Lake Oauchita Arkansas for a week of camping/boating/fishing so I need to get the camper ready. We didn't camp in it at all last year but our friends used it last fall. We just need to pack it up and make sure everything is working and packed to go. Never been to this state park so not sure how far away things are in case we need them.

Lucy weighed in at a healthy 17.2 lbs today - can't believe she is that big for 10 weeks old. She was 9.6 3 weeks ago. :) Then went to get packets with my friend Jen who is doing the race and off to wal-mart to get odds and ends where we found the most comical M&M boxers.. We are wearing Matching red ones and our race shirts since it is the RED MUD RUN. I have to admit her BIL is being a dick - my friend Jean and I did the mud run last week in 1:03 - we walked most of it - she isn't one to exercise so I was proud of her just to get out and do and we smiled and laughed about the hysterics of the day for hours that night at dinner. So I told Jen that and used it as an example of how I didn't care about time - out to have fun. Chris is like - an HOUR for a 5k - wow slow. She was like but they had 15 obstacles - and he said still that is REALLY slow.. I was like ok if we were out for time we wouldn't have taken cameras for pictures along the way, slid down the muddy slope on our butt and would have cared how fast we were going. We didn't - we cared more about the laughs, giggles and smiles along the way...
So Jen is extremely nervous about tomorrow - so I figured the boxers would be a fun idea. She said we can wear our race shirts we got - and when she was telling her sister this Chris was like you CAN'T do that - you can't wear that shirt until AFTER you completed the race. So I am getting ready to leave and she is like we can't wear it tomorrow - I was like WHATEVER, don't listen to him. We are fine. Relax - and have fun tomorrow. #1 is to have FUN. I would understand worrying about a marathon time or half marathon time or something if you were trying to BQ - but come on - we are doing a 5K Mud Run - I look at these as fun - and especially again - Jen isn't a big workout person - it will be good to get out in the SUN and have FUN.
Lucy's 10 week vet appt for her 2nd round of shots, and packet pickup for Sunday's Red Mud Run. Can't believe Lucy has been home 3 weeks already.
Got this email from the RD of the run - I couldn't help but laugh:
The short course for children under 12 and anyone else who does not want to do all the 5 km course will start at 1 PM. The full 5 km course will start at 2 PM. We use the kids to test for alligators, snakes, quicksand, etc. If most of them get through the course then we start the adults at 2 PM. Mudders will start in groups of 25-30 with 5 mins between starts. If you want to race with your friends (or enemies) just show up at the start together. Your time will start when you step off the timing mats. We used this method last year and all went well. Okay, we lost a couple of people, but we call that thinning the herd. Be sure to wear nice clothes. Awards for best dressed. See you Sunday!

Iced/heat the back/hip last night. Pain is across lower back and down into my right hip (or at least that is how it feels) so I am going to try to stretch a bit more in the hip area, ice and heat when I can (last night was more than 10min/10min each as I fell asleep for a bit in each set) :) and I also started taking some Naproxen 2x a day to see if it can help.
Can feel it yet this am. Called the dr yesterday and they can't get me in until the 17th of June. Gotta love base doctors. They did tell me they could refer me off base and I could pay my $12 and then have the dr visit on base in a month as a follow up. If it doesn't get better soon - I will have to do that. It didn't hurt Mon when I ran - mostly I feel it when I sit for long periods of time.
Need to run - got races Registered for which feels really good. Need to get better so I can do those things.

Run today - no expectations. But I have noticed the back/hip problems haven't been there. Tuesday's pain seemed more of just tired legs from the mud on Sunday which doesn't suprise me since I have more bruises and cuts on my legs then any one should have.
Can't wait for the weekend - Sat - BBQ for Memorial Day with friends (FISH FRY), Sunday we finish packing and Monday we head out - Lake Oauchita - about 20 min north of Hot Springs AR. Taking boat and 5th wheel camper. No Wi-Fi, no TV at the campground we found out yesterday. I get to spend a week off the grid with a book, boat, camper, lake and my family.. With no where to be at a particular time. Hubby stated after last weeks fishing trip that he could see me laying on the back deck of the boat under the Bimini top relaxing... I think we could put toes in the water and a good book addition and he might have something. Will find out next week.
