Was to run today and again on Saturday for 4 times this week. Decided to bike today instead, rest day tomorrow and then run on Saturday morning. Not sure I need to run 4 days a week. Work today has been HELL! :(

3/4 of a mile after walk.

Checked the weather and it appears the rain is going to be moving in so I decided to just go out and do what I could. If I could get 2.5 I could, if not I would do something else later to help out.. Got the 2.5 in and walked another .75 mile and the rain still hasn't gotten here. Oh well - it is 7:45am and I am done working out for the day. Run was a little slower but it was no stops, straight thru and didn't get rough until the last 1/2 a mile or so.

Weather: 71*, 87% humidity, winds: SSW @ 9mph. Wasn't too bad. Wind was at my back or side for the most part on the uphills which helped :)


Lucy got up once at 1:30 and I was up already to go potty as well so not that big of deal. Then she slept through until 4:30. YAY back to what it was pre-parents visit. However, she vomited at 4:30 but luckily wasn't much and she made it to the tile.  Stepped in vomit from one of the other 2 in the hallway on the rug and a pee spot in the kitchen on the tile... Wasn't a good night in our househould apparently after all. All happened between 130 and 430.

 Last night went to do the lawn to help hubby out, he is busy with school, has a big paper due first part of next week. Got inside the back fence where the dogs go complete, went to start outside the fence and the lawn mower wouldn't start after I got off to move the hoses. Pushed the riding lawn mower around the side of the house and into the garage... How do I log that? Since it was a nice leg and arm/shoulder workouts

 Plan says another run today and tomorrow. Not sure if I am going to run 3 or 4 times a week. Last half training I ran 3 and I was good. Might give it a try today or might trade it up for a bike. Will see what I feel like.

Split the run into 2 - needed to do 3.75 laps.  First run was 2 laps. Got through 2 and got chills. Came in and got some water, cooled down a bit and rested for 5-10 minutes. Then went back and finished up. Figured if I didn't I wouldn't want to do it later. 

need to:

eat better, sleep better, drink more water, get out earlier in the morning (doesn't bode well for the 5k in July if this is the temp) :(

3 more 2.5 mile runs this week before we increase to 2.75 next week.

Weather:

78*, 71% humidity, Winds 16mph gusting to 23 (ran directly in them going up both hills on this route) :(

 


Mom and Dad left for home bright and early this am. Lucy hasn't slept thru the night since they got here so hopefully we can get back on schedule that we are back to "normal" here. Got a 2.5 mile run on the agenda - will see how it goes and when it goes. Need to really crack down and start studying for the cert test I need to take by the end of Sept. Need to also crack down on the eating right..

Mom and dad came yesterday for a couple days. They have been in town for dad's reunion but came to stay with us yesterday. Last night dad wanted Red Lobster so we went - NOT a good night of eating but we hadn't had anything since Breakfast. Today was a rest day on the plan (I get M and F as rest days for right now) but I walked some with mom - did errands this am.

Got out when it was cool - need to make this a habit. Didn't feel bad until about 3/4 of the way through the last lap and then I had a bit over that lap to go (3 laps = 2.0 miles)

I started following a 10K plan for a couple weeks to work up to where the start of the Half Marathon plan starts. Today the plan calls for a rest day. I will do some stretching but other than that I will follow plan and rest.  My body is a bit sore/tired (probably from the week off) so it could probably use it before I run again tomorrow.
