Getting some really needed rest.

Ran with Victor and some other fit2trainers. A good run to finish a good week. Very happy with the volume and fitness level that I've achieved on the bike.

Finally I can say I had a good week in every aspect, that is volume and meeting expectancies. I only worked 40 hours this week and that helped tremendously too, also the increase in running volume will get me rid of some unwanted winter weight and speed me up a notch. I'm gonna start experimenting with the same calorie intake but less protein and more carbs to have more readily available fuel and stop gaining muscle weight.
Curiously, even though I gained a lot of pounds in the last 18 months (12) my body composition is actually leaner.
The bad part about it is that I acquired massive legs to pedal, this reflects good in my bike splits and perception of effort, but at the same time is making me slower on the run.
My next challenge is to lose some weight, mostly in my lower body, retain my bike strength and pick back up to my previous numbers on the run or better.

Two loops and change around White Rock Lake. Felt heavy and a little tired from lack of sleep.
