To the park and back. Starting to do better with the altitude.
I am finally sleeping in, waking up at normal times. That is just so awesome.
My knee is really bothering me. I don't think it is from the running so I am not sure taking time off will fix it.

30 day shred.
Tina let me know what my birthday gift is, even though it is still weeks away. That girl, can't keep a secret at all. So we will be off to the big city to watch Cirque du Soleil and supper afterwards. Should be fun. We've gone to Cirque du Soleil a fair amount and it is always a good show.
I toyed with taking today completely off but lets face it, I am horrible at that. So I will at least strength train a bit. If the legs still feel tight I'll stop. I think the TRX did me in. Darn that thing. You really can't afford to take a break from it, even if you are doing other strength training.
Last night we went for a walk with Jenny and of course came across some elk. I swear Jenny is not really a dog. Didn't even pay attention to the elk just off the trail. It has been nice though having the whole family together every day, allowing us to do things like taking a walk after supper. Nice to be back to normal after years of Tina's travel.

I knew this was going to be a bad run right from the get go. I couldn't breath and the legs felt extra tired. Got lost yet again on this run. I know this route is a stinking loop and soon I will find the path between the two ends that I have been to. I will grab the GPS and map it out if I have to.

Three hours or so. Horton Creek trail. Good hike. Water in the desert...who knew
Today is hike day. Then back to the rodeo. Sigh. I don't even like rodeos. But they claim to be the oldest rodeo in the country (although there is a long standing fight with another town that claims the same). So it is a pretty big deal in Payson.
I just registered for a 5k trail race in Payson. For some reason I find this funny. Tina encouraged me to sign up for it. I guess cause it is local and won't require training...

TRX
Went out for Mexican with Tina last night. Not a good restaurant. Cross that one off the list. Not many restaurants in Payson, we can't afford to have bad ones. Then we went to the rodeo. Yeah, that's right, I went to the rodeo. Sigh. This is what there is to do in Payson. And we are going on Sat again. No, really, I am going to the rodeo again. Temporary, just keep thinking temporary...
Windy here today. I am about ready to no longer have the smoke over Payson. Messing with my allergies.

OMG I almost crapped myself on my trail run as I came around the corner into a herd of javelinas with babies. I almost tripped over my feet trying to get out of their way. Lots of grunting and sounds of branches being crashed into, and just from me.
Bowflex full body. Dang but my hamstrings seem to be getting weaker. Might be time to concentrate on them
