Around the hood with Breyer
Trail run with Jenny. Jenny was tired on this one. I had to take her off leash she was falling behind so much. Still tired from yesterday's hike maybe

Run with Breyer. I think I need to warm up before running him. Of course Jenny whined the whole time I was gone. Tina loved that (who was still sleeping). The run went well though. Only dogs encountered where barking from behind doors and he did not freak out too badly with that. Got back into the grove. The big test will be when we come upon someone walking a dog.
Back out for more running after dropping Breyer off. Did not take Jenny cause we are hiking with her later. Tina said I did not run Breyer long enough cause he was whining while I was out for this run. Ha. At least usually she'll be up for work so that shouldn't be an ongoing issue, except for her Friday's off
Hot and dusty hike with Tina and Jenny. A bit too hot for Jenny at the end. We need to build up her heat tolerance so she can come for longer hikes with us. Perhaps less fur would help
Today Breyer goes running for the first time in years. I am pretty sure he hasn't run since we lived in Oregon. But first I have to have my coffee.
I realized that yesterday I did not have a single piece of fruit or veggie (excluding apple sauce). Um, not good...

Wow it is cold this morning. Barely above freezing. But at least the winds died down. Should warm up a bit as the sun does its thing. Of to the Petrified Forest National Park this morning.
Yesterday we broke out the tennis rackets and just hit the ball around in the backyard (we have a large cement deck) and Breyer chased the ball into exhaustion. It was pretty funny. Good workout for him, good entertainment for us.
We also went to the farmers market first thing in the morning and it looks like it will be a great market. Small but with no fluff really. Then we headed to Pine and went to the arts and crafts festival...for the pancakes. Supports the Pine/Strawberry firefighters. Good pancakes.

Short trail run with Jenny. I think I am going to start taking Breyer on the runs as well. Poor guy, he needs it. We'll so short for a while and work him on up. I'll run him then come back and switch dogs.
So I am sitting here listening to Tina read off more races for me to race. This is the same person that was very happy that I decided not to race for a while. She's funny. I guess local doesn't count.
Still windy as crap again today. Not suppose to get that warm here today. Tina was making fun of me to break out the winter clothes. Full agenda today with the farmers market (opening back up today, it's not year round), then off to Pine for a arts and crafts festival. OK, yeah, we are going cause of the pancake breakfast.
It's almost like coffee was made from water or something...
Caffeine & dehydration
For years, fitness enthusiasts worried that coffee would dehydrate them. However, a recent review of 10 studies found that consuming up to 550 mg of caffeine per day (or about five 8-oz cups) does not cause fluid-electrolyte imbalances in athletes or fitness enthusiasts.
In another review, researchers concluded that consuming caffeine-containing beverages as part of a normal lifestyle does not lead to fluid losses exceeding the volume of fluid consumed (intake and output were roughly equal), nor is it associated with poor hydration status.
Take-home: Don’t drink coffee as your only beverage, and drink enough water, and you’ll be fine.

To the park and back. Saw an inch worm being hauled away by two ants. Awesome
Bowflex after running
So Breyer's little bumps are fat.
And the dude has gained a lot of weight. WTF? Time to move it move it... Dude clearly needs more ball playing time. Maybe we have been neglecting his play time during the move.
Tina ended up coming home last night cause they did not hear any owls. Only reason for camping was if they heard owls at night they had to find them in the morning. Dogs did not like someone breaking into the house late at night. So needless to say I had a very interrupted night of sleep.

Short but sweet mountain bike. Just trying to get my mountain bike legs back under me before I go too hard at it. good news is I did not get lost despite not knowing where I was. There are trails everywhere so I just randomly took one
Breyer goes to the vet this morning. He has some bumps on his side that we are not sure of so time to get them checked out. This is where I will miss puppy HMO that we had with the Banfield. Now I actually have to pay for an office visit. Hopefully there are not too many dogs there or it will be a miserable trip.
Speaking of Breyer being an ass around dogs we did not have a good session with Jenny and Breyer last night. Well, parts of it were ok but we are letting them get right to each other and Breyer went bad to the point we had to remove Jenny. We tried twice. We ended on a good note though of them being side by side. It is when they interact for a length of time so we'll have to build up a bit more slowly. Poor Jenny, she wants to play with her old bud.
Tina is camping for work tonight on owl survey's. I need a job like that. So maybe I will mountain bike after work. I should be good and bloody by the end if I go. No, I will go. It is time. I know once I go I will be all stoked about biking again so I just need to get out there.

yeah, 10 mins of that is more then enough. ugh
I'll save the specifics but not a good running day so rest day it is. We'll see, maybe it will settle down this afternoon and I can get a run or bike in later.
Ordered a bike rack for the garage. I'll get my darn truck in the garage if it is the last thing I do. Although with the driveway I am not entirely sure it will be worth the effort. We shall see. The person that designed the drive way and the garage in relation to the drive way was clearly on drugs. My drive way is so steep that you actually cannot back up it (a few of us have tried) and then it turns at a 90 degree angle to get into the garage. WTF? I suppose if I can't get it in then it will become my gym
