Went out for drinks and supper with Tina and her co-workers last night. Food is still sitting in my belly.
I think I might have actually found a year round pool at a gym here on the reservation. They said it was 30x60. I am very excited. I am going to go check it out Sunday. it is $35/month for one person or $40 for two. No initial fees. That's a crazy good deal assuming the pool water is not gross or anything.
Heading back to Tucson today to finish the last remaining packing and to clean the house. Movers get our stuff on Saturday morning and then back to Payson we go. I am most excited about the couch. We actually cannot get most of the stuff setup yet as we are still waiting on the bedroom carpet to be replaced but progress.

Sigh, I really do live in a tiny town. I suppose that has it's ups and downs
I think I need to stop eating ice cream so much.
We have been working with Breyer and Jenny outside in the backyard on leash. So far it is going well. They are mostly ignoring each other and so we let them smell each other yesterday. Course we expected outside to go well, inside is harder. We will let them interact more outside before moving them inside. I also need to work on Breyer on walking well on leash so I can start taking him on walks. I can't deal with his bad leash behavior and his dog aggression at the same time so baby steps.

Trail + hills + altitude equals OMG that was fun
6 rounds of 10 push ups, 10 sit ups, 10 squats. Was suppose to add 200m runs but instead I did my run run. No strength training equipment up here yet so winging it with some body weight CF workouts that my cousin is feeding me

Part side walk, part trail, and part great big hill. Good little run, especially the trail part. I ran up the hill for 5 mins and still did not reach the top so good place for hill repeats. Took about 10 mins to get there so easy warm up
Ah, look, a new clean slate. I was going to make a goal of running 100 miles but then I looked at my past months and realized that was probably a dumb goal (well, unless I like injury I suppose). So I will set it for 80 for the month. I think that is completely reachable yet still requires me to be accountable every week.
Slept like shit again. Woke up at 2am. Took forever to get back to sleep but apparently I did.
We have a pest problem. Not surprising given that we live in a forest but still a problem. There seems to be a crack in the foundation that the ants used to get their way into the house. When I saw the large pile of ants outside I knew eventually we'd have an issue. So I sprayed the crap out of the foundation yesterday. That seems to have helped for now. I think I will setup pest control here though cause they also have centipedes. Oh, and of course scorpions. Fun times.
So I think I will look for endurance DU's to do while I live here since swimming is out. Pacific Crest has one. They run a DU the same time the half goes. When the swimmers start they start the DU in a time trial (no lead in run). I could totally do that course again, it was my favorite. I am sure there are others like that out in the country. I could almost sign up for any in Tempe and as of late they have all turned into DU's. lol

Just a short easy run around the hood, checking it out. Body is not 100% happy, probably from the super long day yesterday but it felt good to get out on the run
Tina took me on a little tour of Payson last night. It was little cause well, Payson is little. lol I think once I get a routine going I will be fine. I am about mile to the start of a trail run so I'll be checking that out soon. The people that lived in this house before us clearly did not mind filth. So lots of focus on cleaning. We spent a lot of time cleaning the kitchen yesterday and it is still filthy. Lets not go into the urine smell in the master bedroom. Right now we are set up in the spare room and the carpet in the master is going to be replaced. The house is cute though and the neighborhood is super quiet.
Unsure if I will workout today. I might but I have a lot of house stuff to do.

I am in trail running heaven. I wasn't going to do trail today, I was just going to run along the road, but then I saw this dirt road that went up and I was like "oh" and up I went. And then I saw a trail and I was like "oh" and so up the trail I went. You'll notice "up" is a theme here
