I don't know how I ran 2 minutes faster than this last week. Felt like I was pushing pretty good tonight, but then again I was running on a skating rink for probably a quarter of the way tonight. Still. Tired!

Say what you will about us way-northern hemisphere folk, but I don't think I'd trade it in for the life of me. I LOVE my midnight runs up here. There is absolutely nothing like watching the perfectly clear sky light up with a million stars, and actually be able to see the Milky Way tear a swath across the horizon. Pair that with the dancing northern lights and I don't think you could find anything as beautiful.
Except for me, of course.

Goddammit. No run at lunch again today. I'm really beginning to hate my job. I gues we'll shoot for another midnight run. Only doing 3 miles today, so should be able to weasel them in at some point.

Well, didn't have time to get in my full workout tonight. Had a meeting until almost 8:30 and the gym closes at 9, so I had to settle for a 10 minute warm-up and only 2 cruise intervals at 7.5mph. I cruised 1200metres but only jogged 400 instead of 600 due to time constraints.
My gym is SO hot there. Felt like I'd gone 3 times as far and fast.

No time for run at lunch. Going to have to squeeze it in sometime tonight, I guess after committee meeting. Damned life's too busy.

It's now officially SPRINGTIME!!!

Came to the marsh today and heard the geese just a-honking up a storm. I love that sound after a long, cold winter. Now, spring is here! Spring is here! Hooray!

Good morning, and happy Easter. everyone! Hope y'all enjoyed your mini-eggs!

Well, I skipped my 5 miler yesterdy due to an over-indulgence in turkey, so I REALLY needed this run today. The first 1/2 sucked ass. I had a stitch up my right side and I was tired and sore (left groin still) for just about every step for the first 5 or 6 miles. After that things opened up though. What an absolutely GORGEOUS day it is out there. About 5 degrees, sun shining, show melting (which made for some interesting footing- ran on pavement, mud, dirt, gravel, snow, slush, grass and ice all within 2 hours!).
Took a gel at the 7 mile mark which helped out... felt pretty good from then till about 12 miles where my legs started getting a little heavy, but nothing unmanageable. It was too nice out there to complain, anyways. :)
I feel like going out for another one.

I do need more practice recoverring.

Unscheduled rest day. Too damned lazy to run my 5 miles.

Do NOT drink and type.

OK, too late. Grant's juiced. We had our end-of-year ball hockey tournatment (which I absolutely SUCKED in) and then I went to the bar where I yapped at Stonewall personell in a drunken fashion for a few hours. Probably should have just packed up and went home, but no harm done. Just very drunk.

First of all, I measured my distance from yesterday's run, and the PB Stands! Wow! Can't believe I shaved nearly a minute off. Must have been the fresh air. :)

As for today's run, it had no right being as difficult as it was. I was supposed to do hills for 70 minutes today with 5min tut, but I only had time to go 5 miles. Did get my 5tut in for 175 feet though. I took it easy and just climbed 2 hills at 5%, because I have 5 hours of hockey tonight.
