Craziest day in a long time. I was 'running' from 6:30am til 12:30 am. I got a ride to the hall to setup for our banquet, and realized I needed some paperwork that I'd left at home, so burned home to get it.

Wasn't sure if I could get my run in tonight, so was determined to do something. Rode my bike to the store and back, on a nice wide route.

Well how do you like that? I actually got my run in tonight. It was an amazing night out there again... the wind was just howling thru the night. The stars were so plentiful it was difficult to pick out even the most familiar constellations, and the crescent moon shone like a street lamp to light my way down the backroads around my town.

According to the plan, this was supposed to be my hills workout, but unfortunately there's only one hill in my town, and you can scale it in about 30 seconds. After I did this 3 or 4 times (and nearly broke my ankle 6 or 8 times. It's DARK in that park at night!), I said to hell with hills. I ended up just throwing in about a dozen fartleks along the way. 9.5 miles is an estimated distance, and is probably a pretty conservative one, as I didn't slow for any walk breaks, my pace was pretty quick, and my fartleks were damned fast (relatively speaking, anyways.).

Felt good all the way til the end of the run, then my left knee started to throb a bit again, and the 2 little toes on my left feet started to hurt... guess I was too far over on the shoulder and my foot got squashed or something.
Anyways, I'm just happy I was able to get this in.
It's 1:30 am now and I've gotta get up at 6 for a FULL day tomorrow, so I'd better get the hell off this and into bed.
Night!

Meetings thru lunch again. No run at lunch again. Will try to get in a midnighter tonight, but really have minimal confidence at this point. Still feeling tired and sick.

Feeling pretty crappy this afternoon. Tired all day, then my stomache got all achy. Looks like another blown run day. I'm going to try to get in a ride tonight if I start feeling better.

Up pretty late last night playing and missed my danged run.
Supposed to go for hills today, but I've got to take my boy in to the hospital for some tests later, so things are pretty much being played by ear today.

Did a little Brick tonight in the pissing rain. It was quite refreshing, actually.
I ran my bike over to the gas station, pumped up her tires, and pedalled off for about 6 miles. Didn't have my watch on me, so I have no idea how long it took or howfast I was going, but I kept the cadence up pretty good.

After this, I hopped off the bike and ran the (approx) 2.75 miles I needed to finish off my day's workout.
Nice wet workout. :)

Tempo run at lunch cut short(naturally). Did:
1 mile-goal pace
2 miles tempo (around 7.2mph)
1/4 mile recover (6.5mph)
2 miles tempo
1 mile goal pace
I owe the bank about 2 and 3/4 miles at goal pace tonight.
Not feeling great today, and this run was pretty painfull. The blisters I got on my long run Sunday are now twice the size and 3 times as painfull. New shoes! New Shoes!
Other than that, the run went ok.

So I started thinking IronMan yesterday, and I;ve started thinking IronMan Canada, 2006.
Am I rediculously stupid? Marathons not hard enough?

April 11

Rest day! Hooray!
Left knee is throbbing a little still, but my legs are recovering pretty well. Time for new shoes!

I am NOT having any fun at work today. I thought my little Friday holiday would recharge my batteries and get me ready to take on the world again, but it seems to have taken the opposite route. All I want to do now is go train for tris. Damned IMAZ threads! I'm so pumped now that my body couldn't hope to compete with my mind.

Ooops! Went further than I thought. Only supposed to have run 15 miles today.

Ran out to my sister's place in Stony Mountain, refilled my water bottle and ran home with her beside me on her bike for company. That makes the run home SO much easier. I did put a couple of minutes extra on on the back 1/2, but oh well; I think I was going too fast on the way in anyways.
Wind was coming at me first half (S, 22kmh), but I still ran faster. Guess my legs got a little tired, and my feet definitely go more than a little sore.
Time for some new shoes. My feet are killing, and my knees were definitely feeling the pounding today.
