Stationary bike, hills level 6.
Tried to pump the iron afterwards, but I'm actually feeling pretty run down today. Skipped the weights and went for lunch.

Brutal night at the rink. Let in a pile of weak goals. There was some bleeding hotshot there whom I should have stopped just out of spite who kept burying the puck behind me.
Piss. Me. Off.

LSD today thru the streets of stonewall. Started in the sunshine; beautiful day. Finished in the freezing cold dark.
Started off way too fast... I had set my virtual partner to run 10 min miles, and a mile and 1/2 in I was already up a quarter mile on him. Oops! Slow down.
I found it really tough to run that slowly, actually. Kind of strange.
Anyways, I turned down the speed and enjoyed the sunshine on my face and the 10 and ones.
The last mile was a little tougher, cuz I just wanted to get home. The sun had set, and it had turned pretty cold.
Altogether a pretty good long run, though.

Running room clinic run this morning. We talked about clothes and what were the right things to wear. Didn't really learn anything today that I didn't already know, but that's ok.
Ran with Tara and Michelle, who are heading up the 4:00 pace group. I decided to go with the slower group today since it's SUPER slippery out there. Sidewalks were rediculously icy.
Anyways, we ended up running faster than the 3:45 group anyways, by accident. The "steady" runs just seem so slow, so we all decided to pick it up a little.
Mile 1: 9:30
Mile 2: 9:19
Mile 3: 9:11
Mile 4: 9:29 (decided we'd better slow down so the 3:45 group didn't get mad at us!)

Tempo run on the treadmill. Pretty sure at this point I'm scrapping the FIRST mary plan and going with the RR one. I just would feel awkward going to all these weekly meetings and not following the plan they're preaching.
HR started in the mid 130s, then was up in the 150s by mile 4 or so.
Last mile was pretty steady in the 160s. Wonder if it would have kept climbing?

Ok, so I lied. I tried to get in my run last night, but I was absolutely zonked. Passed out in my work clothes and had to be beaten awake to change for bed. Guess that means tempo today.

March 9

It is Thursday tempo day.  I just haven't had a chance to breathe in the past couple of days, never mind run!
Morgan's hockey team made it to the Manitoba Winter Games, and they ended up battling for the last 3 days and 5 games for the silver medal. I've been running back and forth from the thriving metropolis of Beausejour, MB and haven't had a moment to weasel in a run.

And to top things off, after getting home last night after midnight, Jackson decided to get up every hour, on the hour (sometimes twice) screaming for his daddy. Sufficed to say, my look today is one that a corpse might envy, but noone else. Still, I shall get in a 5 miler! ...just not sure if it's going to be at quite 'tempo' speed.
