Housecleaning :) Rigorous!

I was nervous today but got to bed for 9PM and completed a Gaiam ball workout, cleaned the house and porch, etc. so I would have a nice homecoming tomorrow.  All the encouraging words from my BT-ers have been so inspiring and helpful!

I've been feeling sluggish/exhausted lately.  I thought it may have been the date yesterday but I haven't totally shaken it today.  I am feeling like extra sleep and light exercise have been helping some. Also, caffeine. Lots and lots of caffeine :)

I enjoyed my last workout a lot and was again complimented on my speed.

I have a serious case of the jitters already and it's only Friday.  One of my students just talked me down. Seriously. A fifth-grader just told me "what's there to be nervous about?  Just do the best you can.  Can you swim? yes. Can you bike? yes. Can you run? yes. So what are you afraid of.  I don't get it"

I guess I'm afraid I'll do something stupid, or won't be as good as I think I am, or that I won't be able to finish or that my friends and family won't be proud of me because I made a fool of myself.  I know that's all silly but I need to 'say it' aloud so I can be aware of it and just get past it.  I know if I just relax and put in a good effort I'll do well.  I think I just have to get past the feeling of wanting to do EXCELLENT because I'll tire myself out in the first swim if I do that.  Please help me, folks.  Ugh.

April 30

My foot is feeling pretty normal again today. I've been stretching a lot and I'm planning on a 3 mile run this afternoon, a moderate swim tomorrow AM and then a rest day on Saturday to plan for the Sunday race.  I need to pick up a race belt and maybe a tri top also on Saturday, then I'll be ready!!!

I. Love. Biking.   80 degrees, cool breeze, riding along the river with mountains rolling all around me.  When did exercise become enjoyable?
