Easy, slow, TIRED run. Ugh, no pep this morning. Gave it 2 miles to start feeling better, and reached the crossroads, go left to complete 5 miler, go right to head home. I turned right. This is IT for today, I KNOW, can you believe it?? I just need some down time to get some cleaning done around the house and to just putter around... hoping to have some time to relax and read a book this afternoon.

Long, slow run. Took this nice, easy, steady and easilty could have gone longer. Felt good! HR good! this was a double loop of my neighborhood, stopped at the front porch at the end of Loop 1 and had a water/Gu break. Extended Loop 2 by about 1/4 mile to bring totall run up to 8 miles.

Girlie night with Kati last night, oooh, I have a junk food hangover!  I might have to stop doing these, I got home and hubby has patio stones, sand, etc stacked up outside, and is currently expanding the patio (more room for our Waco guests!).  So Waco guests if you are reading this... the back yard should be awesome, but the kitchen will still be a work in progress!  Lunch out with the kids for Father's Day today since Hubs has to work on Sundays... mmmm, BBQ at the local place.  Always good to catch up with the kids for an hour and then send them on their way and come home to the dogs, ha ha!  Looking like it will probably be another rest day today, although I hope to catch up on some more summer chore list stuff after lunch.

Whew, long one and I was tired by the end. Did basically a Figure 8 ride, with the out going North (with the wind) and the back coming South (against the wind). And while the wind FELT good as far as keeping me cool, it sucked for speed! Just kept pedaling and got it done. Hadn't even gone a mile and almost hit a sqirrel than ran out in front of me and did one of those instant turnarounds that only squirrels can do... I was waiting for the bloody mess as it went through my bladed spokes, but miraculously I missed it! Also ran over a dead snake, ew.... Other than that pretty uneventful and a beautiful sunny day.

I know I am an elitist swim snob... 2 ladies joined my lane as I was finishing my drills and wanted to circle swim. I gave it a chance... one of the ladies was preggo and only doing pulls w/ a pull buoy, the other was slower than me. I couldn't do a 200 without having to stop and wait for them to swim farther so I wasn't coasting off their feet. I HATE circle swimming!!! Rather than be frustrated and feel like I was accomplishing nothing but putting in junk yards, I got out...

Whew.... was not going to run today but we had a big storm that ripped through our area last night and left nice cool air in its wake and I just had to take advantage of it. No damned walking today, nosirree!!! Felt great, what a difference a few degrees and less humidity makes! HR creeped up a bit so I slowed it down the last mile, but I'm still happy with this pace! Ran to Kati's house for some coffee, she had a big tree crash down in her front yard, there's a small branch up on her roof and her hubby was outside when it came down and even though he jumped out of the way, a few branches got him in the back. You can barely crawl through the branches to get in their house! Landlord was called, tree service is on the way to get rid of it. It was dead anyway and an eyesore, and the landlord is having an appraiser come by any day now to appraise the house since he flipped it, so he is anxious to get it gone, so win-win for everyone!

I kind of like this stopping for coffee and then speeding that mile + home! Knowing I only have just over a mile I can push it. Legs felt really heavy at the start, but in about a quarter mile they were warmed up and I was able to run a good pace. Could have done it harder, but I have limits to how much I want to huff and puff!!

Wanted to do a longer bike today, but right before I headed out got a text from Kati... doing some shopping and lunch, so made it a quality short one. Goal was to average over 18 on this one, yeah it hurt a bit! But a WIN for me!! Great day today, and I am DONE training!!
