Couldn't get out there till this afternoon, whew, hot! And breezy... Felt kind of bonky after 10 miles, whose idea was it to cut back on carbs?? Glad I got it in, gives me motivation to get it done in the morning!! No dogs or dead deer, pretty uneventful actually.... oh yeah, I wore the arm "coolers", ummm, no they were NOT cool! In fact it pretty much felt like wearing long sleeves in 97 degree weather. I even put water on them to see if that helped, not much. I'll stick with sunscreen...

First 2 miles were good, ran easy, HR wasn't too wild. It got up to 164 so at 2 miles I walked ran each time it got up that high to lower it below 150. Luckily it went down pretty quick, but it went UP even quicker... stomach issues are not resolved, felt pretty yukky halfway through, but got it done....

Saturday - June 22

Still not feeling great... tummy isn't aching, but really no appetite, kind of headachy too.  The roofers are here and it is just tons of pounding going on, good thing is they should have it done today... my guess is no training will be going on, hoping hubby is good to get out of here for a couple of hours!

Friday - June 21

REST DAY...  I had planned on making up a couple of workouts I missed this week, but I either ate something bad or picked up a stomach virus, just not feeling well, slept like crap last night.  I keep thinking I should have just gotten up and thrown up, I probably would have felt better!  Today is my daughter's 29th b'day, so I'm watching the boys tonight so she can go out with her girlfriends...

Planned to do about 30 today... checked the weather, particularly the wind before I headed out, S 14, not insignificant but not too awful... checked it again on my phone after 5 miles and it was 19! And since all my rides go to the North and then South to come back home, the thought of battling 19-20 mph winds for 15 miles did not thrill me... so did half the distance. I'm such a weenie. If I wasn't solo I would have sucked it up....

Goal was to run the whole thing no matter how slow.... managed to make it through 3 miles without walking, then the HR was high again, I WAS running slow, and started feeling a bit lightheaded at 4 miles. Got it done, that's about all I can say. Surely it will eventually get better????

I do sooo much better early in the morning... legs wanted to cramp up, then feet, but I held them off... this was supposed to be 2800, but no way was that gonna happen... the 200's got slower and slower, so opted to switch to 50's and cut it short. Workout #2 DONE!

Well, it appears the weather may have something to do with my training day today... woke up 10 minutes before the alarm to hear thunder and lightning, so went ahead and turned it off and slept another hour or so.  Looking at the radar, there is a BIG band of thunderstorms passing by, so I don't think I'll chance the pool until that is over for sure, so my training day which should have been done by noon, will now probably take most of the day!  At least the temps are supposed to be a little cooler, only 89 as a high.
