Finally it is REALLY the last day of school!  Had a pretty uneventful day yesterday although plans got changed a bit and I did have 2 hordes of kids in my room for a total of an hour and a half, but then we did put the rest of them in the gym and I got to listen to Alvin and the Chipmunks for another hour and half.... Then the 5 of us PE and Music teachers went out to lunch and by the time we got back to campus the kids were GONE!!!  Got a good bit of stuff done in my room, could have gotten it all done but knowing I have to kill 6 hours there today, I held back!  We have to put in 6 hours, so the earlier I get there, the sooner I can leave.... last day for me to pick up the grandsons and since I'm getting them early I'm going to bring them to our house and put them in the kiddie pool and just veg... aaaaaaaaaah!!!

Decent run! Ran into a tri friend a block from my house (what are the chances at this time of the morning??!) and ran about a mile with her back to her house and then I went solo to finish up my run. I still walked a few times, but it IS getting better! It actually felt pretty good in spite of the humidity!

Last day of school !!!  (w/ kids, still a teacher day tomorrow).  The kids leave at 1:00, but we will be done with our classes at noon, woot!!!  We are herding them into the gym with a movie so we can get all the Field Day equipment cleaned up and put away (think of hosing off multiple muddy tarps...).  Then it will be time to get my classroom put up for the summer and kill time till summer vacation starts, hoping to be DONE by 2 p.m. tomorrow!!!!

Wednesday - June 5

I stayed up past my bedtime last night to watch some trash TV (Dance Moms, my FAVE!), and didn't get out of bed this morning.  I had planned to do a short run, but today is Field Day at school and I will be outside in the sun and eventual heat from about 8-3:00, minus about 30 minutes for lunch.   And even though I won't be doing much physically, it is an exhausting day.  So I'm not beating myself up over it!  I think my mind is already on summer vacation!

MUCH better swim and took 9 seconds off the 500 TT! I think I was just stressed on Friday with the move and all... AND I have a tri training buddy, a woman who lives in my neighborhood. She's a college professor so will have a flexible schedule throught the summer and we're already planning some biking and OWS's for next week!! I'm excited, it'll force me to get out there! The pool has summer hours starting next week too, and I can swim at 7:20 or 8:30 instead of the usual 5:30 a.m., so I'm excited I'll be able to stay up late again!

It was a productive weekend, just not in the training dept.... the move went well, the movers showed up on time, and everything was moved into the apartment in 3 hours, best $359 ever spent!!  We went out to lunch and stopped at the store to pick up a few things (shelf paper, curtain rods) and then headed back to start the unpacking.  Kati started on her bedroom and I started on the kitchen, and we got both of those done on Saturday.  The cable guy showed up late in the afternoon so we had TV for when we pooped out later on... went to the store for moving day food, chips and dip an pizza!  Sunday morning we got the boys' room done, and things on the walls, probably about 95% completed.  Kati headed down to the Baby daddy's house to pick up the boys, and I stopped at the fabric store to pick up fabric for 2 curtains and got home early in the afternoon to do laundry and made the curtains too, then went back and got them hung, the place is really comfie and cozy, I expect there will be weekly girlie nites there!  But no training occurred.... and I'm okay with that!! 

Last week of school!!!!!!!  And no planned teaching!!!  2 easy days, probably a video so I can get my grades done and in the computer, Field Day on Wednesday and then a half day  on Thursday and a teacher day on Friday to get my room put away for the year.  Sooooo excited to get it DONE!!

Saturday - June 1

Moving day!  Gonna be a long one I think, no training planned.  And we've hired movers, so not too much carrying heavy objects up stairs (2nd floor apartment).  Cable guys come late this afternoon so at least we will have trash TV this evening when we poop out from unpacking, our first girlie nite in a long time, it is NOT the same with hubby around, he's a girlie nite buzzkill, ha ha (no offense guys, men really are from MARS!).  Hopefully everything's been delivered by noon, and all we'll have left to do is hand carry her 2 big flat screen TV's over there.  It's about 4 miles from our house.  Will check in tomorrow....
