Absolutely beautiful morning for a ride! I took 2 friends on a new route that I drove last week, out in the country, one road had a bunch of hills, nothing TOO major though, just enough to make you groan when you got to the top of one and saw another coming up. Temps were cool, winds were not terribly significant, just a great ride. I was able to talk Tammy into doing a quick shower and change and hit the movies before she had to go home, we saw "The Heat", it was hilarious! Now it's feeling like time for a nap, zzzzzz .

Beautiful morning! I set out to do 25 miles, but knew immediately the bike needed tweaking... even though my bike guy said he always tried to get the fit as close as possible to what it was, I think he just slapped those handlebars on there and was done... the aerobars were WAY too long! And I had to take the handlebars off to get at the screw to adjust them, so I did stop to adjust the pads, then did a quick turnaround and came home to adjust the pads a little more, adjust the length of the aerobars, fix the water bottle and the shoe cleats and then took it out for a quick ride around the block and all seems well. Gonna go run by the other LBS and pick up some new bar tape, not crazy about what's on there now and then I should be good to go for tomorrow's 40 miler!! Looking forward to it, supposed to be nice and cool in the morning!!

FINALLY a good run, I know it wasn't speedy, but I set out with an easy pace, determined to run the whole thing, no walking and I did! Oh, I did stop once for about 10 seconds when a wild ass cocker spaniel came running and barking at me, turned out it was a weenie, wouldn't even look me in the eye when I stopped, ha ha! Even, better I was able to keep the HR in check!! What a difference a few degrees makes, it was actually quite pleasant out there!

Long ride with a friend who is slower than me, but knowing this was a lot longer than I've been riding, my intent was NOT to hammer it and just ride comfortably for the distance. We got to chat a lot and I enjoy that, makes the time go by faster! Beautiful morning, wind was there, but not outrageous....

Just a quick one, cut it short when I decided the new shoes are one size too big and I didn't want them to get scuffed up or greasy. Gonna take them back and exchange them for one size smaller and that means I can get the black ones which won't show the wear and tear like the white ones. Windy out there!

Just a quick ride to get in some more miles today. Was supposed to ride with hubby on his new Cervelo, should have known better... he never got out of the driveway before he told me just to go. So I did, whatever! I have a long ride tomorrow with a friend, so hope I didn't toast the legs too much!!
