El Scorcho...

It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon so I decided to head outdoors and test the knee out. For the most part it felt much better, but still not 100%. I got in a little over 4 miles then went out with Megan for another 2.

Once again I got up early and hopped on the trainer for a ride and some PS2 soccer. It was a little easy getting up knowing that track season is now over and I might be able to sneak in an afternoon nap. I felt decent during the ride today.

I was able to muster up some energy this morning and drag myself out of bed to hop on the trainer for a ride. Not bad. It was a little too warm in the room though. I'm hoping that once track season ends (last meet tomorrow) I can start riding my mountain bike to work for these final days of school. During my ride this morning, I did manage to break one of the pads on my aero bars. Hopefully it'll be a inexpensive repair.
I decided to join the kids for the run today at our last track practice of the season. My knee didn't exactly hurt, but it didn't exactly feel good either. I was glad to at least get in a couple miles. I'll probably continue doing the bike thing throughing in some shorter runs and build them up from there as everything heals.

After having fun at Kevin's last night, Megan and I took it easy all day and then decided to head off on our cruiser bikes to visit Fernando and the gang during Fernandos 36K birthday celebration. It felt nice to cruise around SCP and enjoy the evening. We pretty much took things easy and snapped a few pics of the clkids on the way home.

I resisted the urge to stay in bed when the alarm went off today, and got up to ride on the trainer. I felt a little blah, and the medial side of my left knee was cranky after the ride (more or less after the run last night...cycling doesn't seem to bother it). Perhaps I'll get out and ride tomorrow morning.
