Woke with the soreness/weakness still in my hip. It doesn't seem to impact my bike much if at all and the bike doesn't seem to agrivate it. I think it feels better today than it has and by the time I biked in to work it definitly felt better. I will lay off the running this week and see how it goes.

April 23

The hip doesn't feel too bad this morning but it is a little painful and weak. I have decided to not do anything today, not even swim. I hope I'll be ready to go for the comming weekend's Atomic Man duathlon. I'm registered for the "Fat Man" course, 10K 40K 5K, but just sent the race director an e-mail seeing if I could run the "Little Boy" 4K 20K 4K, if I wasn't feeling a lot better. It's getting too close to the time in the season where my A races start popping up to be fiddling around with an injury.

April 21

Day two of the mystery injury. I thought it may have been a groin pull but that doesn't seem to fit, it feels too deep. Still experiencing some weakness and that strange thick feeling in my leg. I am still waiting to see if I will race tomarrow. It did occur to me yesterday that I don't actually have to win each race, all I have to do is show up and have a good time.

April 20

First day post groin strain. I'm hurting a bit but it is mostly the erratic ability to bear weight on my right leg. I am hoping beyond hope that if I rest, ice, heat, take anti-inflamitories and increase my protien intake I'll be able to race this weekend at at least 3/4 speed. I'm fine on the bike and swim so if I can just semi-coast the run I should be able to hold off most commers.

I think I pulled a groin muscle a couple days back and this run really seems to have made it a lot worse. The more I cool down the more stiff and painful it seems to become.
