Slow run this morning. The humidity was out of control, yuck. I wanted to increase my mileage and right off the bat I was sure I would not make it, my legs tired from the faster ride yesterday and pain from my healing injury just made it pretty hard for the first 1/3 of the run but I ran through it and the second part was OK. I realize a slow pace is going to be very important in these runs as I increase my mileage. I am happy I got it done.

Ahh... What a nice ride today! The weather was perfect! I did a tempo like ride today trying to keep my avg mph at a good number instead of slowing down on the minor uphills as I usually do. I worked hard, felt strong, accomplished my goal and am sitting here with a chocolate protein and fruit smoothie I just whirred up in the blender. Yum!

Nice early swim! I realize I am very lucky to have so many opportunities to do open water swimming. One of the guys I swam with today James, is head to IMKY so he went a bit further. My other friend Lance is doing an Olympic distance race in a few weeks, me I am hoping to do a sprint in mid October. Went for a decent run a bit later.

Good run for today, definitely better than Saturday when the humidity was so high. It was cool again and a nice reminder of the weather still to come. Warmed up better and went out slow, kept an even pace and the whole thing went OK. I can tell it's going to take a long time to really get back to my old running self after this injury, I must be patient!
Hope eveyone had a great weekend!
