Day off.  This week and last are turning out to be recovery weeks.  I'll start ramping up the training over the weekend and may start running.  I have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning to check on the ankle.

Ugh....sooooo tired.  Nothings happening today.  Shoulders are sore from some kettleball swings w/ 40 lb ball; hamstrings are sore from squats with 60 lb DBs and lunges with 35 lb DBs.  Found out that my younger son got wait-listed at Awty so possibly one more year of them going to different schools.  Huge bummer.

Another day off except for some stretching.  While I thought I had some energy left after the class.  I was sorely mistaken.  I went home, tried to clean up a little bit (failed) but ended up sitting on the couch drinking water and ate some nilla wafers until the family made it home.  Then scarfed down some pizza and drank some real coke.  I was ready to go to sleep and it was only 7:15.  I ended up falling asleep at 9:30...and getting up at 6.

Busy day today...soccer game, birthday party, baby shower and then school gala....I'm tired already and its only 8 am.  Though I am looking forward to it staying light an extra hour in the evening with daylight savings, regardless of whether we "lose" an hour of sleep tonight.

Overall, an even pace throughout the long swim. I had good energy left and then realized that coach was at Jr. Nationals this weekend so we were on our own. I wasn't ready to swim 75 swim/kick/swim sprints, followed by 100 IMs on 2:00, so I kicked for 400 and did 3 intervals. I wasn't too tired but had horrible nausea and did for the hour afterwards....inner ear/vertigo, I need to lie down feeling.

Day Off #3.  Slept in until 6:30 for a full 7 hours sleep.   Nighttime trainer ride didn't pan out.  I wanted to make sure I got a swim in on Friday morning, which happened.

Lunch

Well our plumbing issues have finally been resolved.  We've been in the house 4 years and our first major problem arose that required a major repair.  We knew it was coming and took our time to fix it.  After the third clog in 6 months, we decided to get to the root of the problem.....a deteriorating concrete pipe in our backyard.  The plumbers dug up and replaced about 20 feet of pipe, installed two new clean outs, replaced a toilet, fixed a sink.  Truly a tough job, replacing a pipe when there is raw sewage filling up the trench.  Three guys working for a total of 16 hours.  It was supposed to be a 5 foot repair turned into 20 feet and the toilet purchased wasn't quite the right size, so he was finally able to come back and finish it up tonight.  Plus, he repaired the sink and the knob on the front door.  Appreciative of how much work he did and the quality of the work and make me feel helpless when it comes to doing anything handy/crafty. 

So after he left at 10:00 pm, I watched American Idol and made it to bed at 11:30 pm.  No workout tomorrow morning.
