rest day for my tired legs and need time tonight to prep for an interview at work tomorrow. this week also starts the next month of training which will consists of 2 more weeks of base, then a build week followed by one more recovery week before its all build into IMAZ taper.

great finish for me today at austin tri. total time was 2:06:29 (13th overall, 11th male). hit 2 of 3 goals. wanted to break 2:10 (check), wanted to run sub 39min split (check), and wanted top10 male to get a trophy and some free chit (missed it by 1 spot). very happy with today's efforts. prev best results for an oly tri was 2:23 at captex in 2006. *** race report done! http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=130777

300ez, 400 w/ pickups. jammed my right middle toe when i got out of the pool. dont its broken but its swollen and it hurts.

1mile warmup and then gave a nice effort around the 8mile TT loop at s mopac (21min flat - 23mph) and then 2mile ez home. legs felt really good and definitely think i can hold 23-24mph tomorrow.

nice going todde. jam your f'n toe the day before a race. it looks like a case of maui toe. that would be a reference to my purple toe i had early this year in maui when i jammed it on a rock surfing. i didnt break it then but it was purple and tender for awhile. lets hope it doesnt effect my race tomorrow. 3 goals for tomorrow. finish under 2:10, run a sub 39min 10k, and make the top 10 in the men's open wave. ** noticed a geoff whitfield of tx iron is racing louisville today. is is one of the top 30-34 AGers in the area. have raced him b4 and he is a strong runner. hope he can land a podium spot today!
