finished 19th overall out of 4786 and 5th in my AG out of 486. and I didnt get chicked!

today was my first marathon and it was awesome. paced with the 2:46 (6:19pace) group thru the halfway point and then the group blew up. I ran the rest caught in between members of the group and struggled at times. the hills were brutal from miles 9 thru 19 and then the last 10k was into a steady 15mph headwind. the cloud cover helped but it was still well into the 60s with high humdity. did a good job with nutrition and felt a finished strong by passing 3-4 people over the last 10k. looks like i am off to boston and NY next year. now time to focus on IMTX with lots of swimming and biking.
