2012, Kicked some cancer butt and Time to shape up

August 16

Second day of a  sore throat.  Chewing on Riccola logenges yesterday, plus alka selzter.    Talked to my LTS owner who is also doing IMC.  She is also having flu like problems.

Will walk the dogs after I get back home from morning work split.    Continue to get alot of Vit C.

August 15

Woke up this morning and confirmed that I have a sore throat.  First chance I get this morning, heading off to buy more oranges, throat logenges and anything else that looks good for a sore throat.

Second day of not doing anything except stretching and maybe some basic core exercises.

August 14

Had training (refresher) class on Blood borne pathothens at work.  So swim was canceled.   Throat started to get the sore throat feeling later in the afternoon.        Think I'm getting the taper blues.

Rode out to Semiahmoo area by Birch Bay. Stayed mostly in the Big ring even on some of the climbs.

After the swim, went home and got bike out to ride to lake sammish. Two loops around the lake and up Samish way. Kept it in 4 gear for the whole climb. Legs felt great during the climbing.

OWS in lake padden. Worked on swimming into the waves (small but challenging to focus on breathing) also did some 5 and 7 strokes per breath.
