I was going to try and make-up my run from yesterday right after work, in spite of the fierce wind. But when I got home I saw that the wind had ripped off a section of my wood fence from its posts. So I spent the next hour repairing that instead. By the time I was done my wife had to leave and I was flying solo with my daughter. Ergo, no running. I did get on the trainer after she went down to sleep.

My goal was to get at least 90 minutes in, but if I could get in a full 120, even better. However, my little girl woke up from her nap an hour and 27 minutes into my spin. Being the only adult in the house I was officially done.
Shoulders felt really tired early on during my long warm up. Decided to stick with 100s and 200s for the workout. Doing this I was able to put in a quality effort without my form falling apart.
And hey two swims in three days. When was the last time I was able to pull that off?

Westport St. Patrick's Day race. Not a fast course, with a decent amount of hills. At least the finish is downhill, though. Kinda annoyed at the start as it was clear some slower people seeded themselves with the 6 and 7 min/mi folk. This lead to lots of people dodging and weaving on narrow streets amidst a big race. I'm sure I ticked someone off with some accidental bumping as I was jockeying for position. Happy with my effort all things considered.

Easy jog back up the course to meet up with my wife who was pushing our daughter in the Bob and then back to the finish line.
I was tired and exhausted beforehand, but I did this anyway. I incurred two separate foot cramps, something that I haven't had since my HS swimming days. So, perhaps I was a little dehydrated. I also realized I am still not in the swimming shape I want to be in. But looking at my logs that shouldn't be of any surprise.
