Great day for a ride. Did a loop down Dennis to New Century to 175th to Ridgeview to 199th to Clare and then back home.

I've finally decided to get a new saddle. The stock saddle that came with my bike just isn't working out for me. I thought that after a few months my body would adapt to this seat, but its not happening and any ride over an hour starts to become uncomfortable. Any suggestions? I don't think I want an Adamo. Thinking a Cobb. Hmm.

No easy run here. The legs felt heavy and I almost had to make a conscious effort to pick my feet off the ground on each step. It didn't help that on the way back I was fighting a bit of a head wind. How I managed respectable mile splits - I don't know. I felt very slow.

My wife was headed out the door for evening run when I got home from work. However, our very verbal toddler suggested that she and daddy run too. So we loaded her up into the Bob stroller and we took off for a 4 mile run. Great evening to be outside. I am however a little out of shape with my stroller pushing muscles.

Continuing from yesterday, my daughter would not go to sleep. Took me a solid hour to get her down, which delayed this little bike trainer session.

Run
  • 39m 48s
  • 5.44 miles

Started this about a half hour later than I intended. My daughter was having trouble going down to bed so that delayed me. As a results I ended up running a little shorter route than originally planned. In fact, I actually got lost on my run. Mostly due to running around some neighborhood streets in the dark and running in a giant circle. My face palm moment came when I saw a landmark I had ran by already. I felt much better than yesterday, or even this morning. I guess sitting at a desk for 9 hours all day gave my legs some extra rest.

I did this one on the trainer and I cut it way short of what I planned to do. My legs, and my body just feel flat out exhausted from the moment I woke up today. After the rain moved through this morning it cleared up, but the winds were howling with 40 mph wind gusts. So I decided to try the trainer and just last as long as I could. I knew right away that it wasn't going to be long, but I tried to make it for at least an hour and to put some quality into it instead of just junk miles/time. By time I did get done I was so uncomfortable in the saddle I couldn't stand it.

I'm hoping the rest of the week improves because I'm feeling run down right now.
