Did an easy test ride out to a local junior high parking lot. Practiced my transition bike dismounts there since I've been a little shaky in this area with this bike. Once I was satisfied I had it nailed down I rode home. The ride home was into a brutal head wind. Instead of fighting it I easily cruised my way home through some neighborhoods.

Great evening run. Legs were feeling a little sluggish in spots, but for the most part the effort and pace was consistent. I'm currently trying to find a balance between preparing for KS 70.3 and having a mini taper for the KC Triathlon this weekend. I want to do well in both, but more so in the half Ironman.

I was a little tired this morning. I had a busy off day yesterday and it completely wiped me out, so I could have used some more sleep. On top of that I fell asleep on the couch last night which made my lower back tight and I could really feel it when I would do my flip turns. I love morning swims, but now I'm wiped out again and I haven't even got my day started yet.
