Eh. I wasn't feeling really up for a swim, but it was short and sweet. Felt good enough in the water I suppose. I did try out a new pair of goggles to replace my broken pair and upgrade from my sup-par back-up goggles. Great peripheral vision but they really suck on to my face and I'm pretty sure I'll have some raccoon eyes going on if I wear them for an entire 1.2 mile swim.
Taper week sucks. I didn't feel great, the exact opposite what I want to be feeling. It just didn't come easy on this short run. But I know better and have done this enough to know this is normal. As my wife reminded me afterward I've done some solid training up to this point and there is nothing to worry about.

I kinda felt like crap on this run. My pace sure doesn't indicate it though, but I felt much slower. It might do me good to pay more attention to my pace and then maybe this run wouldn't have felt so hard. Is it time to start blaming my taper on how I feel on my workouts yet?
