Commute to work, Vibrams. Was so tired, didnt really want to do this, but I remembered my car was at work, so I had to.
Very windy & dusty, bad for my chest. Lots of walking. Still, glad I did it.
HELLO FRIDAY! Well, it's my work Friday...4 day weekend!
Running walking to work today. I hear the wind outside, so I think it'll be more walking (asthma). The wind was very bad yesterday & there was mucho sand & smoke in the air. Terrible. Glad I had my inhaler...can't wait to leave and get to fresher air.Â
Ouchies! Tried a new "CF" gym yesterday & loved it! (never mind that I can't lift my arms above my head right now, and my hamstrings are gonna pop...) It's not just CF, it's also a personal sport training facility. Really cool. You can choose to do the CF WOD or not, or when the WOD is over, they'll personal train you for sport specific enhancement, or learn new things, or just work on weight lifting form. Or you can do whatever you want. The place is big enough for all that.Â
I've been meaning to go for 2 months now, but between travel, and travel, and more travel, then being sick, I finally got around to it yesterday. And they gave me a special of $50 for the first month, unlimited classes & training. Freaking awesome. Â Hour KB class on schedule tonight. LOVE IT!

WU: 5 clean & press, 3 rounds of 10 one leg toe touch ( each side) & 20 pushups
WOD: Grace

30 burpees-to-box jumps

Much more functional, but I get tired easily. Made it through work, so that's a big step. Still very stuffy, but I think I'm getting better...
I think I'll have K work on my bike today. Maybe, just maybe, I'll try to ride it sometime. I should if we're going to do a sprint in 2 weeks.

Watched K race the Armed Forces day triathlon on base. Surprising turnout of several hundred, but no one that good. One Team USA guy, but he wasn't that impressive. K got 1st in his AG.
Watching that took everything out of me, so I slept for 3 hours. Being sick sucks.

Walk to work to retrieve vehicle #2. Actually, slow, painful shuffle as my hamstrings are ridiculously sore from the CF warmup on Wed.
WU: 100 jump rope, 1min of arm circles, 50m of high knees and frankenstein walk
WOD:
20min AMRAP, 3min on, 1 min rest of:
10 pushups
12 strict pullups
20 line jumps
15 v-sit ups on the weight bench
10 high knees
I think I did 9-10 rounds. Lost count. It was 3min on/1 off and it was just me and one other girl. She was the "official timekeeper" according to the coach. Several rounds instead of finishing to the :00 mark on the countdown clock, at the :59 sec mark, she called "break" for the minute. She was only going for 2 full min instead of 3. WELL, we're supposed to pick up where we left off, even in the middle of a set (say, the break falls on pushup #2) She wouldn't, she would skip to the next exercise. So...the last 5 min I didn't take any 1 min break, I kept going since her timekeeping was either cheating or just terrible.
THEN, she would skip whole sets of exercises (like the high knees or pull-ups or pushups) to keep up with me. WTF. I was so angry at her "cheating" (cheating herself) just to keep up with me that I lost count of rounds. She started doing all this by the 4th or 5th round when it was clear I was going to start lapping her. I was so angry.

AND...here's me on the Birthday Shoes website! I met Justin (owner of the site) at the Vibram Store opening. He was impressed I had the sequin shoes, he hadn't seen them on anyone before. How cool! I have a pic with him, I'll upload it sometime. Until then, those are my sparkly feet in the Paillettes (caption of the pic) and at the bottom of the post, K and I are the first customers! Royalty I tell ya'.
