Quick WOD today. I think Fridays are "easier" days at this gym, since Sat's are usually kind of brutal.
Warmup: 150 jumprope
WOD:
24 wall ball
48 double unders
----
1,3,5,7,9 thrusters
2,4,6, 8 single arm snatch (each arm)
(alternating those sets, thrusters then snatch, etc)
----
24 ring dips
48 double unders
1/2mi run
Took about 25min total. Pretty quick. Not painful, but nice and fast.

Oh my. The warmup was way too long and actually got hard, thus making my WOD suck more than usual...and I had to cut it short to get to work on time. I liked it all, but this trainer has longer, slower stuff. Not ideal in the morning in a rush before work.
Warmup:
4 rounds: 10 pushup windmills, 10 side lunges
3 rounds: 10 pushups, 25 medicine ball sit-ups
some sprints...some other stuff I don't remember. As a Warmup! WTF.
WOD
6 rounds of: (I got 2.5 done before I had to leave!)
30 KP cleans
25 pushups
20 medicine ball sit-ups
15 ...something...I forgot! Ugh.
10 toes-to-bar
5 burpees
Nasty progression...took forever after that warmup! Oh well, can't wait to go back tomorrow!
Up at 5, that makes 2 days in a row! Really tired.
Trying to up my calorie intake. Despite these intense workouts, my weight has stayed the same and my nutrition has been pretty good. However, 2 salads, 2-3 eggs and a piece of bacon or 2 a day probably isn't enough...
So yesterday, I had a big egg & veggie scramble w/bacon at work & a bigger-than-usual salad for lunch. Didn't feel guilty at dinner last night with friends & ate more than usual. I was also starving. Dinner out was not part of my normal day, but I think I needed it.
June 13
6am:
warmup: 3x15 GoodMornings, 3x10 plank stand things (gave me rug burn!)
WOD:
75 thrusters, 45lbs
On each minute, 3 wall climbs. Thus, after halfway through, the wall climbs were taking 30sec and only a couple reps of thrusters!
Time: 8:40.
WOD #2:
3 rounds:
50 slamballs
400m sprint
30sec handstand holds
Hard day! Fun though.
Up at 450 for early CF...ugh.
My adopted grandfather died. I didn't have grandfathers, they died before I was around. PawPaw was my dad's boss in New Orleans, then when he got transferred to Galveston, took my dad with him. My mom was 8mo pregnant. Since we were far from my grandmothers, they took us under their wings, coming to important kid events, school recognitions, Grandparents Day lunches (so we wouldn't feel left out or unloved), graduation, weddings...so sad. Unfortunately too close to my grandmother dying. Kind of hard week. Fucking sucks.

I've been working out, just haven't been motivated to log! Blah.
Can someone come put my bike on the trainer?

Had a blowout on I-10 on my way back from Tucson. It was MFing hot, 3p, and I was a little scared. Vehicle is messed up, wheel well looks like it exploded on the inside and the outside looks like someone hit it with their car. Crazy. Dunno where my reactions came from, but I glided it out and prevented the rollover. Was really shaken up for a couple hours.
That said, I *cannot* imagine the brain wiring that happens to the guys who are/were in repeated IED's while deployed. I have some issues with noises (like blowouts) and a bad startle reflex to 'close calls' and noises, but I can't image how those people cope with every day life, with so much stimulation after many explosive incidents.
