Today is back in the pool day. I'll also get a run in tonight. Damn it! Are the gods against me! I left my wallet at home with the check in it for my next block of swims. I'll beg borrow and steal to come up with the $1.50 to swim at noon today! I made it to the POOL!!!!! The cathup and fist drill were very interesting - I have lots of work on form. I didn't work too hard but concentrated on form. Felt good to be back. I had a really great run last night. I even picked the pace up the last 5 laps. Maybe the rest was good.

Another wasted evening dealing with a computer issue I have yet to solve. Tonight I will uninstall the wireless hardware and re-install it in the hopes that takes care of the issue. What is really frustraing is one computer works great the other doesn't and it is all the same equipment! Give me spkokes cables and derailers any day! It is solved (I think). After another evening of working on th eissue I finally got through to Microsoft with the error code and I beleive the issue is my daughter's 1 gig flash drive. When she has more than .4 gigs on it the computer looks for an OS. She loaded it up with homework on Friday, the error screen showed up Sat. Tomorrow I will contact Microsoft and get the fix. Needless to say no workout - Bad boy. I will swim to morrow at lunch and run after work. Put it in the bank!

Snowstorm hit later than expected. It took me 1 1/2 hours to commute to work today (instead of 35 minutes). I don't think I have had a worse commute. The memory foam pad on my bed really was comfortable. I did wake up warm once but that was OK since I had been freezing all day. I barely got the Mustang (great snow car - not) in the parking lot this morning. The noon swim may get cancelled if the snow doesn't let up and the roads get plowed. I don't want to get stuck over the noon hour.

Better ride than yesterday. Kept a good pace the first 10 minutes. Slowed a couple of mph the second 10 then kicked it up for the last 10.

Slept really really well last night. I really miss getting two mornings to sleep in (Sat and Sun). I am really hoping the work load at work will level off. My knees are a little stiff this morning with the right one being a little worse. I will probably have to get back in the habit of icing (I've tried to stop mainly because of the itme it takes.) Looks like we will get nailed with a major snow storm (figures where was this in Jan when I wanted to xcountry ski) with the possiblity of another midweek. It is March. I was freezing all afternoon. This damp weather is tough on the arthritis. The snow seems to be moving in so it will be up early to get the driveway cleared so I can get to work.

Got on the bike late today. This was a ride now before you turn into a slug ride. Felt good to get going again!

Guys night out last night (no booze gave it up years ago). Did beat the boyfriend at HORSE but then he got me in a game of lighting (the old guy just can't run fast anymore). I worked up a good lather in the lightening game - to the point where my daughter was getting worried for me! What is she going to do when she comes to my first outdoor tri?! I WILL get a workout in today. Strength and either bike or run. Promise. Spent the afternoon dealing with computer issues with the rest of the family. I don't know how I ended up being the IT Department of Gerber Inc. but that is what I was doing. After supper I laid down to read before my ride - ended up sleeping for 2 hours! It was much needed sleep and for a breif moment I thought of bailing but then I knew my BT buddies would howl so I got on the bike and rode! Keep hounding the old guy!

March 10

What a great nights sleep! 8 straight hours of uninterupted sleep (thank you very much Mr. Bladder). Yesterday the guys preformed flawlessly in overcoming the assembly disaster. We had caught everythign back up by noon! I went around in the afternoon and told them all individually how much I appreciated the effort they all put out in morning. I had two guys tell me a boss had never told them that before! This is a good group of guys - too bad i only have them for a few months. Attention all you blog readers. I need you to get on my butt - mercilessly! This week has been a slacker week of epic proportions! There is nothing I can do about it today but starting tomorrow it is back to work! Ride me hard!

Slept better (at least more sound) but was still up between 2:30 and 3:30 am. Today will be a rough one at work as we try and make up for the assembly slip up. May end up working late to get things ready for tomorrow's shipment. At least the headache is gone. I pray it doesn't return. I haven't had one of those in a number of years (and it can be a few more as far as I am concerned).
