Warmed up for 6 minutes, ran 30 with four 30 sec. walks, cooled down 6 minutes. Felt a bit stiff and dehydrated, will have to hydrate better.

Good run, hot outside and dark (I ran at 5:30 am). I took my mace-still a bit jumpy from animal encounters on Sunday. I only saw a big toad today.....but scared of seeing a live wild pig (have seen 2 huge dead ones in 2-3 weeks).

Good class today, got to show off my road rashes.

Class went well, pool temp seemed cooler. I had been feeling pretty sore from my fall yesterday (ribs, hiney, etc) and some general muscle soreness-my good swim seemed to work out the kinks-feel better now.

Faster today.....6 miles on the road, 10 miles on the gravel.

Okay, the weirdest bike ride ever. I was so happy with my lightening fast speed today of 19mph on the road and 16mph on the gravel. Bike felt good, saddle issues resolved, fancy new gear..I was smokin. I got to my half-way point where I have to turn around and I was going to stop and have a drink, so I clipped one foot out of the pedal and was about to put my foot down when I saw the BIGGEST FREAKIN GRASSHOPPER ever-no joking, the size of a flashlight barrel. So, I didn't want to put my foot anywhere near that space creature, so I went to put my other foot down, which was still clipped and I very gracefully lobbed over and was at one with the pavement. Big road rash on knee, leg, elbow, palms-but not horrible. So I shook it off and noticed those freaky things were everywhere...glad I got away without further incident...oh but wait, I didn't. I got back on my bike and had gone about a mile on the gravel road and I entered a shady stretch under some big oaks when an ARMADILLO runs out from the brush and right under my front tire! AN ARMADILLO! Well, I hit him and he was okay-kind of bounced off my tire like a heavy basketball. I almost fell off again and landed right on the creepy thing. Can you imagine if I had? He probably would have bitten me and given me rabies...good Lord. Needless to say, I'm glad I made it home with no more than a few bumps and bruises. Did feel the best on the bike ever today. Had to scratch my OWS swim-will shoot for one Friday in Hilton Head.

Met with running coach, did speed work. 8x 110 yds. Worked on form and just ran.

Water temp was up to 90 degrees again today, so we did a deep end class with flotation belts. Nice change.

Meeting with the running coach was very helpful....will take his advice and meet with him again in two weeks. Taught a deep-end class today-nice change from shallow end-high cardio and not so hot.

Friday-Thighday in class today.

HTaught my class-it was a hot one, but we made it fun. After class I had all of them go down the water slide...nothing funnier than the look on the faces of the teenage lifeguards when they see 14 half-naked women shooting down the water slide. Had a great swim, endurance is picking up, as well as speed. Meet with SuperDave the running coach early tomorrow.

Planned (forced) rest day and I hate it. Resting feels lazy.....I'm gonna go mow the grass.
