Nice walk around the neighborhood....hot, but nice.

Slow ride on the gravel at the nature reserve today. Had planned 20 miles but headed home early, didn't feel right on the bike today. Tried to push it, but my legs felt so heavy and slow. Maybe up too late last night, poor nutrition. Also got spooked by an alligator up on the bank....he was about 10 feet away from me and twice the length of my bike. He whipped around and dove into the water and scared the poo poo out of me. Lots of creepy huge grasshoppers too. The nature reserve is becoming the "ride of superlatives". Will ride the island next week instead.

Went hard for 30 minutes on the e. trainer and then hopped on the treadmill for 20 minutes....run felt good today. I quit paying so much attention to my feet and my breathing and just ran the way I feel comfortable-my stride, my breathing. I then taught my class-water temp was wonderfully cool today and the ladies (and I) knocked out a solid workout.

What hurricane? I had five ladies in my class today in the pouring rain...fun. There was no lightening, so we stayed in the pool. Stopped raining about half-way through class.

NOT going to meet with my running coach tomorrow, going to do my own thing....each time I've met with him we do sprints and it aggravates my SI issues. Maybe as I gradually become a better runner I can push through the sprints. I just don't want to get hurt.

It's my rest day....seems like I just had one, but it was last Wednesday. I'll probably just take a walk later. Time is flying by now that the race is getting closer and I'm half excited and half nervous (okay, terrified). Trying to be calm and relaxed about it, sure it will be fun and challenging.

Spin bike....alone in my blue spin room, music cranked. Up the ladder intervals and then a rocking 10 one minute intervals out of the saddle with a 30 sec. recovery in between. Fitness director at the YMCA said she wants me to start teaching spin classes (probably because I'm in there mooching the eqipment/stereo system) all the time. Would love to teach spin, because most instructors I've had for it stink.

Could have gone longer, but being cautious of SI joint problems....hurts when I push too hard. Followed by a 5 min cool down.

Marathon day out of the house.....kids to gymnastics, then to a sitter's. I had the best sports massage EVER. I usually request a guy to do it, but this woman was from New Zealand and she knew some awesome Kiwi massage magic. Going back next Tues. too. Then off to my sport's chiropractor for work on my SI joint/sciatic issues. Then to the YMCA for my little brick and then picked up the kids. Running now to the shower and then to a meeting for a fundraiser and then....whew, it's tiring being a goddess.
