Being normal felt weird, obsessing is better.

I was dragging all day....swimming was about all I could manage.  Caught a second wind and Doug & I (mostly Doug) moved the rest of his stuff from his apt to our house.  Yippeeee!   Things are going really well.  We are constantly making kids adjustments, but we have four great kids.  I'm a happy girl! :)

Rode (yes on the road and not on the trainer-don't die of surprise) with Doug at Dismal Swamp. Saw lots of bunnies, a fox, two snakes and a million horse flies. Good ride, no traffic. I just need to ride more. This was my first real ride (non-race and non-trainer) in aero. My arms and other parts were fatigued-just need to do it more. :)
This ride was what we chose for our date night. :) Of course topped off with freshening up, margaritas and mexican food. ;)

Taught two classes-one stretching and one cardio-just resistance for me.

We went out to Smithfield today and saw the church we are getting married in in Aug...beautiful and historic St. Lukes.  We met the priest that will marry us and got to know each other-he gave us personality tests and we matched amazingly close-big surprise.  :) Great day.

Ran in the heat....tried to be smarter today to avoid organ failure. The only problem is that I like running because I can push and try to run faster (a recent discovery) or I can push to try to run farther. TOday I just had to settle for what I could do in the heat. Best ipod song on this run was Maroon 5-Harder to breathe....i know, I am a victim of pop culture. But it was rockin today. :)

That was a stupid-hot run. I think I am going to be sick-really. Kept my walk run pace of 10/1 for the first forty minutes and then started to get really overheated. So I dropped it to 5/1 and that slowy deteriorated to just survival running to make it home without dying. When I was in the shade I felt fine, but in the sun I was tooooo hot. The last five-ten minutes I had abdominal cramps-stomach and kidneys? Whatever is in my body on the sides and back-but different than a normal running stitch, real cramping. Yowch. I'm not sure how far I went...I'm guessing about 6. I am trying to build up my heat/run endurance for the RNR 1/2. ugh.
BUT, in the middle of this run and during a 10 minute DM Band song (played it twice I liked it so much), I got that perspective and clarity that only running can give me. Ahhh, better.

Taught a cardio class in the ghett-o. WIll count some as strength training.

No workout yesterday due to a sick (pukey) kidlet.  Bennie stayed home from farm camp and hung out with me while I tried to make some progress on the unpacking and settling in of our new house.  Doug got home late last night-such a sight for sore eyes. :)

No wonder I was so hot on the run! It was 96 degrees with 58% humidity!  Yowch.

Drills and camp kids slowing me down. But a nice swim on a gorgeous day. Longer run planned for tomorrow. I am back to my two short/one long run per week to gear up for RNR. Whoohooo!
